It depends on which side the two variables are on, not which way the sign is facing alone. Edit: essentially what I'm saying is, his comment reads: Troy is greater than Mankalor. If it was Mankalor < Troy, it would read "Mankalor is 'less than'/worse than Troy". Which ever variable the open side of the symbol is facing is the better/greater variable.

0:10 - "Aww this thing has like no drift, I should have went Waluigi!" Actually, I was browsing the in-game stats for the characters and vehicles on the Super Mario Wiki and I made an interesting discovery... the drift bonus on the character doesn't actually affect the drift's tightness, but rather the acceleration of the vehicle while it's drifting, even though it gets added to the vehicle drift stat, which DOES refer to drift tightness. It's pretty strange but the jist is, we've been lied to fellas. Despite the character select screen stating that Waluigi has a +5 bonus to drift, it just adds to the vehicle's acceleration; the only characters to have an increase in the flame runner's actual drift angle are Wario (which is roughly a +3) and King Boo (which is roughly a +6).
