If you actually read the character bio for Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing, you'll learn that he's racing in that cart to keep the competition fair. We all know that he can run faster on foot, but Sonic has to be the nice guy and play fair like everyone else.

Graphics: SASR was really jaggy. It also had MANY graphical errors which wanted me to break it. Multiplayer: SASR was really terrible, most of modes felt like they were just put in for no reason(Filler) The graphics in multiplayer mode WERE TURNED OFF LITERALLY. All the background objects stopped moving, special effects weren't there, textures weren't detailed/animated,etc.

Wow if you are struggling to know who the characters are in Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing are then you missed out on some amazing games as I knew who every single one was and I found that Mario Karts was to easy always coming 1st or 2nd all the time and that made the game boring fast but Sonic and Sega All-Star Racing is hard as hell when you put the game in to expert mode

I have both of these games and I like them. (Note: I have Sonic on PS3) Mario Kart Wii has more to offer. More tracks, more characters, more vehicles. But there's just something about Sonic that makes me want to keep on playing it. I don't get that feeling with Mario Kart. But overall, I'd agree that Mario Kart wins.

The biggest factor in this comparison is that All-Star Racing is the first in it's series (if you don't count Tennis and that Eyetoy game) while MKWii is number six. It's the new comer verses the genre establishing veteran.

You know what? The fact is: Sonic & Sega Racing is far more superior than Mario Kart Wii. But everyone thinks the opposite becuase if you think about it, the only thing that was fucked up in Sonic & Sega Racing was the music. It's the music that really grabs the players attention and brings up his mood to play the game. That's a fact. Let's go waaaaay back in time, in the 16 bit era. The only reason Streets of Rage was liked more than Final Fight was because it had an awesome soundtrack.

I think Sonic Racing is better in Graphics (personally). But I agree Mario Kart Wii's better in Multiplayer (On OR Offline), Nostalgia (as lots of the characters are classic), Sex Appeal and DEFINITELY Box Art.

Rosalina is classified as a heavyweight because in space she's had to survive on a steady diet of star bits to stay alive ever since she was vary young... Besides for having the added benefit/curse (Take it as you will) of apparently stopping her from aging outright, it's also a mystery that she herself doesn't practically weigh as much as a star & have her own gravitational field to boot... (Perfectly fine considering that she lives with baby stars)

I've played ASR for the 360/PS3 and it has way better physics than MKW, just so much smoother, faster and... better! If Mario Kart were first doesn't matter at all to me, allstar racing is a better game in my opinion.
