@@jeffjeff8237 they were the developers of the Mario & Luigi series. They were in debt after they released Dream Team (2013), and they declared bankruptcy last year in October. Probably remaking Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story for a dead console wasn't a good idea. Superstar Saga was released between Kingdom Battle and Odyssey (two major Switch games)

The thing is that it felt really redundant to play this one when the 3ds was backwards compatible with the original DS version, and the fact that the 3ds game lineup was coming to it's end. And from what I've read, Alpha dream wanted to go with a Partners in time remake but Nintendo thought Inside Story was the better choice. Which begs an interesting question: Did Nintendo *WANT* Alpha Dream to fail?

Man... I remember playing this game when it was first released, and I had very fond times playing it. To see this brings great nostalgia and I can't wait to play this again. I can still remember all the note combinations in the minigame to stimulate bowser's muscles, and exactly where they appeared in the little song. Then to see all the graphics and stuff updated, and a whole new side story behind-the-scenes kinda thing is just awesome to see!

Oh hey, more people who either hate it if a specific game isn't on Switch even if they would work better elsewhere and/or refuse to buy it because It isn't on their precious Switch system. And this game would not have worked on Switch due to the dual screens and assets added specifically for the 3ds. You could argue that the screen would be halved, but it would be too squished on mobile and possibly TV depending on the model. It just would not be as fun on the Switch as it would be on the 3ds imo.

Not gonna lie they made this game really pretty. It was 10 years ago I got this game. I still never finished it. I’m stuck only 75% completed but I’m sure I’ll get this anyway and end up being stuck on the same spot. Great!
