Moves, where the Bros use their own talents like jumping, hitting one another with hammers, using the hand powers etc (not using items like shells and cannons) to attack enemies, which has not been a thing since the very first game (not counting the remake).

I have really loved the Mario & Luigi series so I hope this game can take off and revitalize Mario RPGs in general.

This is notable since it’s the first Mario and Luigi game on a single-screen console since the very first game on the Game Boy Advance. All the others had two-screen gameplay. We are so back, baby! I hadn’t completely lost hope for the series. I knew from when I found out Nintendo bought the licensing back from Alphadream (RIP to them), something’s being planned, but I didn’t expect this! It’s a whole new RPG that, from the looks of it, still captures the feel and play style we all know and love from the classic games…great job, Nintendo!

A few years later I found out that there was an earlier game in the series (I didn't know about the internet at that age yet) because I stumbled on my older cousin's copy of SS. She didn't want it and I still have it to this day!

Dang, and I replayed Dream Team on Hard Mode not too long ago (Like, 2 months ago) because I had a weird feeling of "I think they're cooking something..." And also because Dream Team is a childhood favorite of mine. And I noticed they're taking some pages from it too! @@Vwemmy Not really true. Shigeru Miyamoto has gone on record to say that he doesn't want unique NPCs in his games. That's why after Super Paper Mario all you got in the paper mario games aside from the main and supporting characters (The only games that even had unique NPC characters in the mario franchise) were basic multicolored toads. It's been a massive reason why they were all flops. (Weird game design choices notwithstanding.)
