I got the game for christmas when I first got my Switch five years ago. The game is absolutely beautiful and nostalgic. It's been five years and I still remember this game. I first got this game Christmas Day 2017. I beat the main story mode in 4 days with about 165 moons. About a week later, I got to dark side and beat the Robo Broodal. A month later I got to Darker Side of the moon and spent about 2 weeks trying to beat it (I was only 11 years old at the time). After beating it, I took a break for the game, though I’m not really sure why. I came back at the beginning of quarantine in 2020 and was immediately reminded of how much fun I had back when I first got the game. For the next month and a half, I went from the 503 power moons that I had after first beating darker side, to getting all 880 collectible story moons, got 999 power moons, found and spent all purple coins in every kingdom to get all stickers and models for the Odyssey, got all costumes, and fully 100% beat the game. I had never felt so accomplished. During December 2020, I even went back to do the infinite jump rope glitch to get 99,999 jumps in the metro kingdom jump rope minigame. This is one of my favorite mainline Mario games, and still holds a special place in my heart. It was the most hype I’ve ever had for a video game.

@@JugularJohn yeah I know it was shameful But Nintendo have only it's main team and maybe 1-Up Studios to help them make games, the other ones do their own thing Considering that we may have Breath of the Wild 2, Donkey Kong 3D Game, Mario Kart 9, a Series Revival, Bayonetta 3, Splatoon 3 and Metroid Prime 4, plus a new Wii U Port I don't think we'll have another Mario Main Title in 2022 or 2023
