Bothership from my point of view is a perfect start for a new era of the Mario and Luigi series

This game feels like alphadream never left. The humor is still here, the combat is exactly the same, the game is connected to the previous games in the series, Bower and Bowser Jr still have their character development from the previous games, a lot of easter eggs and references

Never did I think this series could ever come back with all of its charm in tact. It's still unbelievable to me.

I hope that Brothership will not be the last Mario game for the Switch. But even if it did, It's a good tribute and a send-off to the Alphadream and Switch itself. This is still certainly the best Mario RPG among the 3 in the past 12 months.

Big comment time: I am in believe that mandate on original characters is 100% gone, since concordians are super varied creatures, on top of lots new enemies and some are returning from previous games. HOWEVER, I am still 85% shure that mandate on modifications of classic known creatures is still not gone, since isn't it a bit weird that there are no new variants of classic creatures? Like Sharkbone returns but what aboud his partner Sand Cheep? Sand Cheep is not in this game, but keep in mind that it's also a variant of cheep cheep while Sharkbone is an original creature, put the two together and you see the truth. Another thing is dispite the fact that ( at least story/character wise ) this game is closer to the first 4 games and yet Toadsworth is still missing, Elite Trio is gone too. And all the references to previous characters/enemies were unrelated to the more known spiecies like Toads, Goombas and Koopas? Assuming my theory is correct, that means that Paper Mario will somewhat come back to it's original roots, we will mayby see whacka, clefts, the shamans, duplighost's and possibly all of Super Paper Mario cast, but I doubt we will see Koopatrols, clubbas and likely Kammy Koopa, since they are all modifications of pre-existing popular Mario spiecies. As a side note: I don't care if the Mario Party OC characters like Tumble, MC Baloohy or Bright and Twilia will ever return, since when playing with my family this is not what we care aboud while playing it, but is it realistic for them to return? I mean Woody, Warukio and Steamer had retuned in modern game, so it's not out of the question, but The ones will likely not return are Koopa Kid and the Unique Toads (again). If you read all of that you deserve a medal 🎖

It would be more important for the Mario RPG franchise than for the Mario franchise in general, since the Mario RPGs, even in their previous Peak, did not influence the main games.
