Funny story. I was fighting King Bob-omb in this game and survived the time's up explosion. Mario and Paper Mario were KO'd but Luigi survived because I had an item equipped on him that gives a chance to negate all damage at the cost of a regular mushroom.

I mean, I like the giant battles in this game. now they allow you to play with just controls and for some people I bet it's better for them then using the touch screen. I love how there's so many callbacks to the bosses' previous appearances. Petey spitting out Sunshine-styled mud globs, Papercraft Megacrinkle Goomba looking just like the Sticker Star Goomba boss, Paper Power Tower Pokey being, well Power Tower Pokey but smaller, King Bob-Omb using his original talk sound, even the Mega Thwonk reusing Giant Luigi from Dream Team. Kinda sad this was Alphadream's last original venture, they definitely shouldn't have gone bankrupt, but there isn't much we can do about that.

I gotta say, the Koopalings #3 caught me a bit offguard my first time... Cause I didn't realize how Trampoline Guard worked. Also I get so stressed when I need to reflect the giant magic bomb vs Koopalings, since it's pretty much either you die or they do. Dry Bowser was also a bit difficult for me (taking me about 3-4 retries). The 1 attack I will NEVER get down is the Toad Trail (the angling is so weird to me + my rubber on my 3DS Circle Pad is off so... yeah). Shoutouts to you for a clean run of all the bosses! :)

In BIS, Starlow remarked that the bros must really trust each other when they demonstrated the "Mini-Mario" ability. And it made perfect sense: considering what they did to each other in Superstar Saga (abilities and bros attacks), it's fair to say they're used to the whole "use your brother as a tool/infiltrator/attack" routine. Seriously he seems like he's a really nice guy but he's always cast in the villain and/or boss role never amounting to anything in the story. I like him and want him to actually contribute to the story as well as being able to play as him. Noah Maldonado Petey is not a tutorial boss because there are no Tutorials during the boss. A first boss and a tutorial boss are different a tutorial boss teaches you the basic skills and a first boss doesn’t instead it puts those skills to the test and testing skills and teaching skills are 2 very different things. Teaching skills to the player is enlightening the player of their existence whilst testing skills makes sure you know how to use them. Plus first bosses aren’t fought during a tutorial.
