In this new game, the third in the Mario Maker series, players can create the Super Mario courses of their dreams in 3D for the first time! Players can now access even more tools, items and features, including new game styles never before seen in Mario Maker such as Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Sunshine, Bowser's Fury, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario 64, and more! Super Mario Maker 3 will hopefully launch someday on the next Nintendo Switch 2 console!

I think both makers and player would get overwhelmed at having that many game styles, that's if the team could actually make that much content. (3D World in Maker 2 was threadbare compared to the other Styles, to the point they slapped an "Extra" label on the only new game theme.) Trying to keep 3D Land, 3D World, and Bowser's Fury straight sounds like a headache.

Making a 3D game editor for a Nintendo Switch would be hard tho. Not only because of the controls needed to make the camera movement similar to a game engine's, but also requires modeling in 3D from the users. Nintendo is likely to think it would be too hard for users, so a different approach could be making an editor similar to the map maker from SMM2, but it still has the problem of alignment of objects since each one has different spaces and making a 3D grid is harder as they have another dimension, I don't know if you get me.
