During the volleyball, you kept bringing Amy out of the ring. For the super spikes, your ally, whomever it is, will always pass it to your nearest location within the ring. As such, the best way to use those super spikes is to move onto the icon while the ball is being passed to your ally. Then, use the super spike as the ball is set to you via your ally.

In the 4 by 100 m relay team mario wasn't being stupid, the only reason you were able to do that sport is because team mario had 3 normal memebers and the captain, 1+3=4.
