I love this wreath just as it is but I say that with everything you do and then I'm blown away with the fascinating finish. Looking forward to the Hellebore flowers, which I have never seen. The larch branches are my favourite part and I am gobsmacked with all of your artistry. Thank you again Marion.

An avid viewer of all your lovely makes, I thought it was about time I took courage and made a comment. This is beautiful and my fingers are itching to get started. I was so hoping you'd make a book of moths, they were enchanting. Thank you for all the joy you bring Marion.

That is going to turn out beautiful. I will try to catch up again and be ready to go for the flowers. I'll do my best to get colors close to yours. I don't have any shiny threads but I will combine colors. Ohhh I loved the stitch journal but I trust you to be another great challenge! And can't wait for advent 🎄 goodies as well. I've never done any. 👏 tomorrow is our Thanksgiving Day, but I wish you all the blessings and hoping you have enjoyed your visit with your daughter. ❤

How lovely this is coming along, it really evokes the beauty of the plants you have chosen. I used to have hellebores in one of my gardens and think I shall try to grow some here, as deer do not like them. My grandma called hellebores, Lenton Roses, tho I never knew why?! We had holly tree's in our yard as a kid and our big rabbit got out of his cage and decided to live under one of them. We couldn't catch him because of the prickles, so he lived under it for years, even in winter when the deep snows came. Thank you for another wonderful stitching time Marion. I hope you have a lovely day. 😊❤ p.s. Today is the annivesary of my son Matthew's death, and I wasn't going to get on youtube today at all. Then I remembered your stitching and I changed my mind. I am so glad I did. Thank you for sharing your time with us, it surely eases the sorrow of my heart. 😊❤

The needles are wonderful, and unlike what I'm familiar with as we don't have larch here and our pines are a southern long leaf variety. I love learning how different our flora and fauna are. You provide me with lots of new knowledge. Even the ivy leaves are much fatter here!😊

Exquisite, my favorite is the little bunch of needles next to the Larch. You really captured the essence of the needles. The Holly and Hellebore leaves are great. I’m going to give the two color threading and shading a try. Hope you had lots of fun with your daughter.

Your wreath looks so beautiful. The addition of the holly and hellebore leaves and the addition to the larch are just so realistic and lovely. I wondered why you did a double running stitch instead of doing backstitch? Is there a reason in the appearance or thickness? I am so looking forward to beginning this diary next year. xx

Oh I haven't bought needles for many years I'm afraid. I have so many old packets of needles that I think I've an endless supply! Crewel needles usually have a big eye and a sharp point. Have a look for them..

I don't know why I think I can't use more than 2 stands at a time and MUST stuff as many individual, intricate stitches as I possibly can in a piece or there's no point. Then, because of that, I don't get anything done. I psych myself out A LOT in my creative work (and in my general life 😅). I really need to chill out. 😊😅
@marionsworld248 сағат бұрын
I know where you're coming from Emily. I quite often stitch with just one strand... but then again if you have a large area to fill in and all your threads are going to lie nicely then using more will be just as lovely.. It's a perfect example of why recombining threads works so much better than just separating them as a clump of threads.
