Omg!!! That's just beautiful. I totally agree with you. It's just like your best friend has come for a cup of tea a chat and some art!!! Thankyou for saying that I feel the same. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a group of us all meet for cuppa and stitch!!! Bit hard for me as I live in Australia hahahaha. But I feel it coming through KZbin land with Marion and all you lovely ladies in these stitch channels. Really beautiful group of people. ❤❤❤❤

I m slowly working my way through your lovely videos Marion as work has been really demanding and. I m not getting quite the time I sometimes have to keep up. Just wanted to say thank you for all the inspiration and help with confidence that comes with my own projects as I watch. I will look forward to your sashiko on the denim jacket and I loved how the pink velvet jacket echoed the pink of those tulips 🧡

Hi Marion. The tulips look very lifelike! Thanks for demonstrating how to do the stump work embroidery without making it too complicated. I’m glad you enjoyed the wool show in Wales. Your shawl pattern is beautiful. I hope to see you knitting it sometime. You’ve revolutionised my knitting skills by demonstrating how to do the fairisle using both hands to hold the yarn and weaving in the floats. I keep telling myself that you’re never too old to learn new skills. I’m learning every week from your videos. Thank you ❤

What a triumph! Marion, you are such an inspiration. Those tulips are so beautiful. My daughter just had a birthday and was given a lovely bunch of tulips, the exact colour you embroidered. I can just imagine how soft that lovely mohair must feel in your hands and such a pretty colour. I crocheted myself a wrap in a similar yarn a couple of years ago and it is my favourite. So light and soft but very warm. I bet you are itching to start that shawl. 😊

I picked up some of that kidsilk yarn at athrift shop, and it is lovely. Your shawl will be wonderful to wear. Listening to your idea for the wool reminded me of a shrug I once made out of eyelash yarn. It was worked in 2 pieces, a right and left sleeve that was extended to form half of the back on each piece, then later were joined at the center back. Using 1 hank for each half would be a good way to work the yarn and get as much sleeve as possible. Your work is always stunning. When that gingham was first applied, I never imagined what the final piece would become. After seeing what you've created with the fabric vessel and this page, I'll not doubt that you've something lovely in mind at the finish.

Marion the finished product always comes out so spectacular. Really beautiful and you give me the confidence to even try it for myself. You explain things so well. Gosh I really love the look of that beautiful shawl. I love shawls and crocheted one for myself but not real happy with it. Crocheted one for my sister in same pattern but finer wool.....she liked it. But didn't particularly like the shape triangle it came out in. (My first attempt at a shawl lolol) So I'll be very interested in seeing how yours comes through. Oh my gosh the yarn you've got for it is absolutely truly beautiful !!! How very special it is. Absolutely love mohair and silks are my favourite material whether yarn or fabric. I'm so pleased you bought yourself something so beautifully special Marion. You deserve the finest things. We definitely love upcycling and using what we have and it's so much fun creating something out of something......but there are those little moments when we can have beautiful things like silks and special laces that are our future treasures. With your handiwork it will be a treasure for years to come! 🥰❤️🥰❤️

Thanks Melinda. I always try and keep in mind I might be explaining to someone who hasn't done whatever it is before... The experienced among us shouldn't mind hearing it again, but I try to think of someone who is maybe just starting out..☺️💐 It's true... I really love thrifting and using old clothes to make new ones....but.. I do treat myself to lovely yarn now and then. And a little splurge at the sewing shows keeps me going too 😅
