For me, whether the videos are 15 mins or 50 is not the point, it's the content and delivery I appreciate. You take the time to explain your processes clearly and there is something for all abilities to learn in every video. At here is no such thing as the right length of time for a video. It takes as long as it takes to show, teach, encourage and inspire. People into slow stitching aren’t looking for quick, at least that’s how it is for me, I want to take time to let ideas in and experiment.

Personally, I like the longer videos best… and it seems to be the consensus. I think of it kind of like a sewing circle… I work on a project, learn something new… maybe hear about how people are doing… what people don’t realize about what you and other creators do, is that you create community… it’s a beautiful thing in this day and age ❤️ Thank you….

I love your videos, and I like that they’re long and slow. I can work along with it and have you talking in the background and watch what you’re doing. It’s soothing and relaxing. I prefer to see all the details and see what you’re doing and watch it actually happen than just short little clips. Please don’t change anything. People can always fast-forward if they don’t want to wait to see the end. 😊 I admire your ability to make do with whatever you have, and be so creative. It has been inspiring to me and has given me many ideas. Keep sharing your talents! ❤

Correct, the content and delivery is what we benefit from, and of course spending time with you is always too short. Its like going to visit a dear friend, and once you have a chance to sit down, get sewing and watching you at the same time, learning new things you lose track of time. For me the longer the better. I always come away so glad I had the chance to hear you explain things, and show us exactly what you are aiming for. You are a born teacher. Your projects turn out perfect. Hello Marion, thank you for another lovely video. I have to say that, in terms of the length of what you present I get myself prepared to watch. 1) get my favourite mug of tea (it holds about a pint), possible a couple of biscuits too. 2) get some knitting I can do that I don’t need to look at while I am watching what you are doing. 3) a note book for recording some of the types of materials you are using e.g. the “stuffing” suggestion you used this time. Then I get comfy and spend a very happy period of time in your company. It doesn’t matter how long or short that might be, it is always a great pleasure. By the way, the bracket fungus is really looking beautiful.

Well I sure couldn't see the vision on that fungi in the beginning but you pulled it off in the end! I liked the padding in the final layer. I like the current length of videos, you explain the stitch/process, you do it slowly to teach and then finish off camera. I like your process, I would't like it if the video was longer than an hour. If it's longer than hour I'd still watch you, but I'd take a break and come back to it. You're spot on for showing how to incorporate your stitches into your creative work and that's what I appreciate.

I think the length of your videos is what you think is right for the tutorial you are showing us. Your are a great teacher, you present your videos in a friendly way that is easy to follow. I am new to embroidery and teaching myself. I loved the way you was so open about the fact you didn’t know about needle sizes. I was intimidated about some videos that mention the right needle length because I too don’t have a clue. Your explanation regarding matching needle to thread is how I have been approaching it so I was relieved that someone like you with your experience and great talent was showing us how you do it. Thank you, it made me feel I am getting through the embroidery world ok 😊

Thank you Marion for your video and company. I do not notice the time as I am learning and enjoying your company. Nothing is rushed and we get really good views of what you are doing,it takes as long as it takes. As a lone stitcher I appreciate longer videos but as a teacher I know times will vary depending on what you are doing. The good thing about this format we can watch it in chunks or again as required. It is slow stitching and we are learning. The audience and subject changes the format. Stitching relaxes me I don't want speed and feel rushed. We watch you because you are you.

Hello! Your fungus art is AWESOME. The process was very interesting because you’re making it up as you go. It’s wizardry. About long videos: I think it may depend on how a person consumes videos. People who like long videos may be listening while they do other things. I wonder which devices they use. I cast from a tablet to our smart tv so I can watch videos as if they were tv shows. I watch and listen. My full attention is devoted to every video I watch. Therefore, I have to budget my viewing time while also continuing to support all the channels I followed before Marion. Well, that’s just me. Marion, you have to do what’s best for you; what you think best. I know you put a lot of thought into everything, and you always tell us “why” and not just the “how.” Whatever you’ve been doing, it’s successful. Keep doing that. 💜💜💜
