Which SONY Camera to BUY? - UNDER $2000

I would not recommend the RX100VII, I would get the RX100VA with larger aperture ! Both the A6600 and A6700 are good options. For full frame I think the best Camera are the Sony A7RIII (which is $1998 now at B&H) !

I have Sony A7RIV and Sony A7RIVA, I had the Sony A7RIII. I would like to have a Sony APSC Camera with a 40 megapixels sensor like in the Fuji Cameras, it will be great for macro and wildlife !

Hello from Norway. Last year I got A7IV for 2094,972 at current rate converted from NOK, even got fast SD cards on sale, and few days ago I got 24-70 GM II for 2048,417, it was like new. Both used from dealers. It's a lot of money, but great deals, I'm glad I waited for good deals, looked for good deals, grabbed it as soon as I saw it. 8:49 These are nice for sure, if you only want a small camera for photos only, this is a nice option. Seen them really cheap.

If you consider A6700 then you mgiht as well consider A7 IV, the size is around the same only difference size wise is the view finder, so the A7IV is slightly larger. But A6700 has same body size, but no joystick, so bad if you want to change focus point easily, so this means you have to use the screen take the hand off the camera, or use the other hand if you have one, one handed person will likely hate using this camera. The size difference is not worth it. and if you can get an a7IV for the same price second hand you get a full frame sensor and joystick. I don't regret doing that.

@@mtbboy1993 I have got Sony A7RIV and A7RIVA, so it is like have 4 Cameras in two, because I often use the APSC mode which gives 26 megapixels like the A6700.

A7RIVAInteresting, I've not seen A7RIVA sold in Norway, I see it's listed now in several retailers. I see the description says the screen is higher resolution. But I've not heard or seen this camera before I've seen α7R V, I see some shops list Sony A7R IV A. The 30megapixels is enough for me I think. But not tried 60. I got my a7IV second hand from a dealer, it was in pristine condition. Few days ago I also got second hand 24-70 GM II from another dealer, also like new.

@@mtbboy1993 My former Camera was the excellent Sony A7RIII (42 megapixels), now Sony A7RIIA (new) can be bought cheaper than a Sony A7IV. I never use zoom Lenses, only prime Lenses. Best deal I have seen was in December 2023, my local store had 6 or 7 used Sony A7III for US $870 included taxes. Right now they have a Sony A7II for US $635, so there are lot of good deals. I got a used Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 T* ZA for US $215 included taxes and a Zeiss Batis Sonnar 85mm 1.8 T* for US $550 included taxes, an opened box (new) Zeiss Loxia Distagon 21mm 2.8 T* for US $740 inclded taxes, it is all about being very fast when these bargains turn up.
