I swear that Marisa Galvany's High E-flats are the biggest you'll find on recording...I could be wrong, but it's like, there's no change of register, no "fluting", "bell-ing", whistling, none of that-- just rock solid core...awesome exception to the rule type of voice! There are some rough moments, yeah, but I don't care. Miss Lady is giving 100% and the thrill factor is always there. Thanks for posting!

+Gylchris Sprauve Some of her C's, D's and Eb's could scrape the paint off the walls. This woman was pure electricity!

Fantastic! She attacks the note cleanly out of the air, laser-accurate and sustains it fortissimo on pitch. Can only compare to the legendary Callas/Bechi duet from the San Carlo di Napoli, December 1949. When was this filmed and do we have the entire performance please? Marisa Galvany's high E-flat in the 3rd Act of Maria Stuarda (as Elizabeth I) is also famous.

@@unclelouie3828 This is the repertoire in which Gus belonged. He did baritone roles wonderfully well in many ways, but it just wasn't where his voice belonged. My humble opinion.
