Need For Speed: Undercover has the best physics of any racing game

This game is a guilty pleasure of mine and I refer to Undercover as the Sonic 06 of the Need for Speed franchise. The physics in this game are beyond janky, but I still like it for some reason. Also the soundtrack is pretty great (can't feature since copyrighted, but you can look it up on KZbin)
That said, this only applies to the PC/PS3/360 version of Need for Speed Undercover. The PS2/Wii version is a completely different story.
Also, thought the soundtrack I chose fit with the gameplay, because the sunshine almost burned off my eyes...

I know. I'm playing it again right now and this physics are the best. All the cars handle well in sharp turns and you dont have to worry about crashing against the wall in any kind of curve like in NFS Most wanted (2015) and NFS the run, you just focus on the racing part. I've yet to try hot pursuit.

I think the only bad thing about Undercover is the handling... the game is actually fun. Nice cars, the sense of speed is there! (lacks on latest titles such as Payback/Heat). Sadly the handling is really bad. You can't take corners without losing speed in this game.

I personally actually enjoying this game. Try sandwich a cop car into a wall (with speedbreaker) and watch it flip and losing all body parts (including the detachable police light on civic cruiser, the only cop car in this game that can lose the police light (and rarely still flashing without it). Or better yet. Get a savegame that has a driveable bus and start doing rampange in quick race cop event.

It's pretty enjoyable NFS game, but still it's an arcade game, so physics are not close to a simulator. I never expect any serious physics from arcade racing games. They have to be fun and holywood movie like and not realistic.

I get that, but older NFS games like Underground 1 and 2, Most Wanted and Carbon had arcadey physics that still felt like they actually made sense. I still like Undercover though, janky physics and all. :)

I don't think I ever played this far enough to get cars like that. I still remember getting disappointed by that game because you couldn't just crash into police cars to completely destroy them like in Most Wanted (2005) :D Watching this kinda makes me want to play it again...

You actually can crash into police and destroy them, it just takes a lot of force. If you T-bone a stationary car at full speed it’s insta-wrecked. Otherwise you’ll have to bump them quite a bit before they get destroyed.

I was joking that it was Underground since it reminded me of the fun I had with the game, Most Wanted would be a fun game to play but I'd prefer to play it on a PC (I'm not sure if my Lenovo T410 would be able to run it though) because I would be able to expand it with mods etc. Anyhow, assuming that you're playing on a console, what capture card did you use to make the video? I really like the quality of the video. Sorry for my terrible comparison, I've only played a few NFS titles.
