As pointed out on FEMA's own website: "FEMA’s disaster response efforts and individual assistance is funded through the Disaster Relief Fund, which is a dedicated fund for disaster efforts. Disaster Relief Fund money has not been diverted to other non-disaster related efforts. The funding for communities to support migrants is appropriated by Congress to Customs and Border Patrol - it has nothing to do with FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund." There are people still in tents in the cold in North Carolina , one lady rented a port a potty for 150 dollars a month so encampment could use the bathroom . My God , there was the most awful ruckus in this country over New Orleans with Katrina , but at least they took those people to the Superdome , they bused them out , they set up camps for them , put them in FEMA trailers , they helped them people and they still threw a fit , the people on North Carolina have peacefully pleaded for help to find their dead , food , and would just like to get out of the freaking cold .

I offered use of 17 acres of land after flooding in Vermont for FEMA trailers and no one ever got back to me. My own family was flooded out in Montpelier Vermont took over a year to find housing for them... As far as I know no FEMA trailers ever came to the area. Let me make this clear I was offering to house many people not just my own family on 17 acres of land and was ignored not even contacted back by the state or FEMA. I did not even want cash or anything I just wanted to help. The town manager in Montpelier just happens to live in the town where I offered land and is not my friend...

I totally agree with Marjorie with this one because here in New York American people are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. But the poor people get a hard time to keep their benefits let loan approved for assistance for food stamps to help them get their foot in the door. I work in Bjs wholesale and I see these people coming to shop for specialized shelters that only for these immigrant and then the in person immigrants come and they have thousands of dollars in cash and food stamps it’s crazy unbelievable. And they sending it back to their families in their country too but us Americans are suffering every day. So yes they building new homes for them and the American people that’s been in the shelter for years without an apartment to rent is still waiting until they done housing immigration. Sounds like Americans people are being cast aside to me don’t it? I see what’s going on even though I own my own property’s people are not being treated fairly here.
