Mark Arnall has been in Formula One since 1997 starting as the fitness trainer and therapist for Mika Häkkinen. After Mika retired in 2001 Mark moved on to look after Kimi Räikkönen. He is now widely known as Kimi’s trainer.
Professionally Mark is the closest person to the driver during race weekends and between events with unique insights into the makeup of these fiercely competitive people.
In this portrait Mark shares his experiences from his life in racing in the past 17 years and talks about how to prepare drivers to perform in the optimum way.
He also covers insights into why Kimi Räikkönen, Mika Häkkinen, Sebastian Vettel are just a little more competitive than the rest of us.

This is fascinating. I am so glad I stumbled upon this. My friend is a huge Kimi fan and she has been losing faith in him, seeing his performance this year. I'll show this to her and hopefully, it will fuel her love and support for KImi back to life. Thanks, Mario. You don't know how huge an impact this video will have for all of us F1 fans.

Fascinating interview, thanks Mario. I would love to see one with Frank Williams, I think that would be very interesting. I grew up living near Williams, friends at school now work there, etc. I remember our school bus breaking down outside the factory gate in 1993, some mechanics came out and fixed it, whilst I got to look at Prost's car being rebuilt after the French GP. Great times. I remember vividly the day after Senna died, our entire school was just in shock. So much that we had a special whole school assembly to talk about it, as many kids parents worked at Williams.
