Years ago, I had lunch with Mark and suggested he become the coach for this generation. Apparently, he has gone beyond that as he has become THE COACH for all generations. Solid interview and look forward to part two. Thank you, Craig, for doing an outstanding job.

Box borders for bowling fundamentals: Consistency, timing, balance, and accuracy. I think the physical core biomechanics is timing and balance. If the timing and balance is good there will be greater success in accuracy. With good physical mechanics than consistency comes about with practice, lane and equipment knowledge, and mental strength.

Coaching is so much about how you relate to others. And how vested you are in coaching. In one roll of the ball, Mark pinpointed my issues, and he focused on those. It made a "marked" difference (no pun intended). KZbin is for anyone with an opinion. Looking for the golden ticket. It's unfortunate that some feel that's enough. Personally, I'm looking for substance. So many videos and so many opinions on how to accomplish most everything. There will never be a substitute for hard work. Over time, that'll give you the most long-lasting results.

Mark Baker is SPOT ON regarding to where our society has gone when making the comment about guys his age whining about everything and the hate for 2-handed bowling. I purchased the videos he just released and they are great. The ONLY thing I would have liked to have seen is something on drills for fundamentals for both 1 and 2 handed bowling.

I would love to hear his opinion on whether or not the game will have to change to adapt to the 2h style. I would expect to see oil volumes increase and possibly the return and standardization of the heavier pins. To me, if something doesn't change, the game will lose a lot of appeal as 2h will make it "too easy" (as the candlepin folks already say 10 pin is).

Great questions and thoughts. I think it will have to happen as well. Think of things in terms of golf. When new technology in drivers gave players an extra 50+ yards of carry course design had to adapt as well

Mark Baker is a great coach. I read his book years ago. Issue is somethings he says or tries to articulate to an average bowler does not make a lot of sense. Even myself bowling for 40 plus years I sometimes hear some of the things he says, I am like what ?? 😂
