And I have no sympathy for her in that regard because it's like you went to the lowest hanging fruit and tried to play a card that really has no good business basis behind it. He literally said I will give you 1 million at 8% and I have a background in plant-based foods that I personally own. Then he was willing to go down to 7% stake in there company so he actually has less steak but is still giving them a million dollars and his expertise in the field. If they would have taken that deal because women need to stick together bs it would have been worse for them her deal was actually more costly even though it seemed like she was taking less steak in the business and she was giving them less money and she had that no dilution part tacked on

I disagree with sharks backing out from an offer is considered petty because like they always say when they back out, its because they do not value them as partners. If they already show signs of that, the entrepreneurs will just do things their way and ignore the input of the sharks and the business might not grow like both sides hoped for. I will admit that Damon is extremely petty and does things a lot petty things on the show for immature reasons (ex. like trying to raise prices on other sharks) but Lori, although she does have petty moments, like everyone does, is not a petty person.

If the company takes two years to become profitable, then your equity is stuck. His total amounts are not as outrageous as Lori’s, who asks for 30-40% often. Lori is greedy but just puts on a nice mask whereas Mr Wonderful at least is up front and direct with you. I prefer him.

I’ll try to get the link in here (or at least the authors) but it will take a minute to find and KZbin seems to take down comments with links. But I should be able to get the authors, title, and DOI. Really fascinating article that suggests a similar idea, but I don’t recall them showing evidence that plant based diets mess with your body that way. But it is a logical argument to make based on their findings.
