Mark Henry chats with Chris Van Vliet from Austin, TX about his legendary Hall of Fame WWE career that started with him as an Olympic powerlifter. He talks about his Sexual Chocolate character, dating Mae Young and her giving birth to a hand, his fake retirement speech, the infamous salmon colored jacket he wore that night, why he didn't get a WWE Championship run after his match with John Cena, why he thinks The Rock should run for president, what made him want to retire for real, the racism he has experienced in his life and much more!

@Stephen Joens He has never denied that he was pushed by WWE . But that has nothing to do with racism . Racism is definitely prevalent in the world and it is his right to talk about the things that have happened to him . Any sort of discrimination based on caste , creed , sex , religion , etc. has no place in this world .

growing up way before knowing what a heel was i simply hated wsm mark henry, yet watching that retirement promo live he had me in the palm of his hand. the crime of that wasn't afterwards with the absence of a championship run, it was the years before, not unleashing one of the most humble charismatic wrestlers to have many more runs than he had

@@svenwirth439 "Terrible"? Nah, I wouldn't go that far with him. Just poorly booked and under utilized, that's all. He wasn't the most athletic guy, but for his size he didn't need to be. He had a look, mic skills, and a distinct presence in the ring.

Cannot believe I’ve only just come across this. Mark Henry’s fake retirement speech was the greatest twist in wrestling history, IMHO. Even to this day, it still doesn’t get the attention it deserves. For Henry to show real (fake) emotion in front of that crowd, tears and tributes to Cena, love to his family whilst telling them he was coming home, having the fans finally show him some love…then, BOOM! One bodyslam later, yelling at the champ that he wasn’t done and had a lot left in the tank…just fantastic. Also, not to take anyone away from CVV’s great interview with Mark Henry, but check out Three 6 Mafia’s live performance of his entrance music on Smackdown, which you can find on YT. Henry’s whole demeanour as he ventures down to the ring…serious Final Level Boss chills.
