I always think of the big four British middleweight of the 80s as Sibson. Graham, Kaylor and Christie, but James Cook fought three of them, only losing to Graham. He also beat a young Michael Watson.

I once saw a fight refereed by Micky Vann where the towel was thrown in and he simply picked it up, through it out again and told the fighters to carry on.

Even Cook admits, he would not of beaten a peak Kaylor. Mark was on his last legs. Watch Kaylor Vs Christie or Gumbs. That's how good he was..

@@dan32113 never understood his tactics in this fight. Kaylor often stood right in front of his opponent and made himself easy to hit. Agree , his best performance was Gumbs Against Christie he just looked the stronger man . He lost all his other big fights. Would've been better working behind his jab more. Hard to knock the guy for effort , he was always one of my favourites to watch. Never quite thought he was the same after Drayton knocked him out.

@@markclitheroe900 in the era of Kaylor it was harder. Lost to Sibbo & Graham not sure he would ever beat them. But Mark had ton's of heart & that's my memory of him. & pushing Christie into a fountain very naughty. It was front page news. Erroll was a more skillful fighter than Mark, but couldn't hold a shot Let's be honest no one was taking Haglers belts. A true great up with the icons like Greb & Robinson.
