Saw him last year live in Antwerp. Great show. He announced that this was last world tour.....! I'm 50 even I went to the calling Elvis tour in 1992. I'm since 35 years addicted to his music. Somehow I I understand he will not tour again, all the great players are reaching the age of 70. But still I cannot say farewell to such great shows.....

ist nun schon wieder 18 Jahre her...21.4.2005 Mich hat dazumal die " Blechbüchsen- Akustik " der Messehalle gestört. Für die folgenden Konzerte habe ich dann lieber einen höherem Anfahrtsweg in Kauf genommen und bin nach Leipzig , Dresden oder Berlin gefahren. Nach etwa 7 Konzertbesuchen, kann ich rückwirkend sagen, dass das Konzert vom 19.6.2010 in Leipzig das allerbeste war, dass ich von Knopfler- gesehen/gehört habe . ( getopt bisher nur vom '92er Dire Straits Konzert in Nürnberg oder auf YT - Mitschnitten aus USA, England, Italien, Spanien oder Australien. Aber nochmal zu Erfurt 2005 :Guy Fletcher hat damals berichtet, dass während der Proben in Erfurt am Nachmittag sich plötzlich unbefugte Personen am Sicherheitsdienst in die Halle gemogelt hatten und die Soundcheckproben erst nach der Räumung weiter gehen können... Was habe ich noch in Erinnerung ?? ... ach ja,- den schlechtesten Rostbratwurstverkäufer/Fleischer , der mit seinen ekligen Dingern mit lauter Fettklumpen und Knorpelstücken vor der Halle ,den Ruf der Thüringer Rostbratwurst ziemlich in den Dreck gezogen hat.... naja, was will man erwarten, wenn man dort schon( fälschlicherweise) """BRATWURST "" dazu sagt und den Unterschied von Bratwurst und Rostbratwurst anscheinend nicht kennt.
