These songs transpoert me right into the realm I like. Forgetting my Ego and think of the other realms of living in our metaphysic world. Love music, and deep connection to this artist make transitions easy. I feel love and connectivness to forget time or any other earthly data.....

@@KarinWhitehair I was searching for words that may come close to saying what I felt in my soul Karin. I search no more as YOU have shared my sentiments exactly. I'm 75 and am not ashamed to say I oft times get emotional when I hear splendid musicians play and/or sing songs that strike deep within my being. Mark's wonderful collection of music, in this concert, did that, especially when he and Bonnie sang "Wherever I Go",, why? Because these people who have given us so much of their lives are like us growing old and we'll be leaving this place soon. We can take solace in knowing that we experienced them as they grew old along with us eh. Since we first met Mark as a youngster on MTV he has mesmerized me with his mastery of the guitar and of course his songwriting. Dire Straights brought us so many demonstrations of his skill and in later years as Mark came to be better recognized for his mastery of that magnificent instrument by Chet Atkins with a decree as Master Guitarist (a title given to only one by Chet), there is no question Mark Knopfler IS among the top 20 guitarists in the World in any genre'. This concert had me crying tears of joy for most of the first hour. Thank you for sharing.

I want to see the Cheasapeake Bay and the Delaware and all the little hiding places, the Ponies and all the boats and marvel at the History of it all. I Love the West Coast, but it not home. I miss the Civil War Battlefields, It is a reminder of what we should not ever repeat. From wonderful Maine to the Florida Keys I do miss it. But most of all I love America, and people must learn to come to terms with our faults and help each other as much as possible. Do this before it is just too late.

Trump, the President, is trying hard to expose them so they can, with our will, be banished from the human landscape forever. Pray for Trump and MAGA. The new America won't be like the old one. About Mark Knopfler I've written this before, but I make a point of reproducing my definition of the “Guitar Wizard, who I consider a genius and a complete artist. By seeing and listening to his compositions and his performance on stage, we can perfectly identify his exceptional and unparalleled gifts and talents. The artist stood out for sound effects with special technical expertise, as a guitarist, composer and singer of greatest hits. By analogy, talking about his technical mastery is equivalent to saying that he is the very personification of an entire symphony orchestra, reflected in the ability to harmonize, mobilize, coordinate and lead his band, which is made up of talented and multi-instrumentalists, who also feature attracting and delighting crowds around the world. Undoubtedly, he is the greatest guitarist of all time and his guitar represents the extension of his body, his creative talent, his sensibility and feelings, which can be recognized in the rhythms of various musical genres, immortalized by several generations. His genius as an instrumentalist, composer, singer and broadcaster of different genres, moves with great versatility from classical instrumental to country, from romantic to rock to pop dance, etc. incomparably the greatest and best world representative of good music and of a generation that gave rock and Dire Straits the style of being, that Mark Knopfler created and represents for the music industry worldwide speaking. 🎸❤️🎶🎵🎶😍 Amazing how he seems to rock his guitar like a father rocks his son

"Whey Aye Man" is a ballad set to accompany a story told on British TV many years ago. It was called Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and was a comedic series about British workmen working in Germany. Many happy hours of laughter mixed with pathos. The lyrics in this song mention "German built and British made." Mark's friend starred in the TV series, he is called Jimmy Nail. He has also made records, his best in my opinion being "Big River" and "Silver bullet". The phrase "Whey Aye Man" is "Geordie" phrase. "Geordie's" are people who are born and raised in the area surrounding Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK. Which is where Mark Knopfler grew up, incidentally with Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, also known as "Sting" another one of his friends. The phrase "Whey Aye Man" is normally used as a positive response to a somewhat obvious question. For instance "Is that a good pint of beer?" response "Whey Aye Man !!"

This happened to be a selection on the suggested plays so I hit it and I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. Mark Knopfler may look like your average middle-aged guy walking down the street now, but if anything he's the best he's ever been, and that's saying a lot, since he's always been a brilliant musician. His guitar playing really stands out now that he plays some songs without all the rock and roll background where you can really appreciate what he can do. His voice is the best I've ever heard it, and he still has that spark that always set him apart from other rock groups. And to have Bonnie Raitt come out at the end and to listen to these guitar geniuses playing together was just jaw-dropping. Now that Covid is winding down, I'd love hearing a whole concert with those two.

I’ve watched the biggest bands in the world over the years but the first time I saw Mark Knopfler at the echo arena in Liverpool around 2014 I was totally overcome. I have been a fan of Dire straits since the early 80’s and hearing him live was the greatest thing I have ever witnessed. He seems to just get better every year that goes by.

The most delightful satisfaction above all, watching our most beloved music stars busy having fun performing and entertain us, yeah, spreading good vibes and using music as best leverage now, getting out from depression and focus on. .. feeling just fine together. Vintage inspirations remind us how we were such kids once, such believers, from my behalf, today's kids deserve such good stuff, grow up dreaming the way we were once. ..great tracks, great concert indeed, some artists are so good to make us feel so good, this precise feeling, being fans for the last 40 years makes me feel like. ...wish you guys other hundred years more, we can not get tired of your music and...this is what makes life worth living. There was a time when every corner of the street it was another rock band playing and there was room for everybody, in our hearts database there's so much room for thousand and milion of dear songs, voices and even ..versions of the same tracks alive or studio recordings, giving us that sense of being rich, of having so many dear belongings, so many assets yeah, let's recall the times indeed. Great event this one in New York, let's focus let only good vibes guide our hearts and stop any war disputes once for all, we have better things to do than murdering ourselves each other, we need to sing along good old songs & paaaarty

Saw Mark early on, terrific band, extraordinary musicians, blew the roof off of the coliseum. Have kept up with him over the years. Can’t quite explain how he continues to produce such quality music with such terrific musicians. And new different songs to add to the terrific catalog of timeless classics. Still contemplating whether he was better at first or at the present. Guess I will have to continue listening to his music and worry about it later.

I was fortunate enough to see this tour not once but twice. First time in Glasgow and when I had some luck in a Casino in Las Vegas and treated the good lady to two seats to see it again. I doubt if there is a better guitar finger licker alive at the moment. Pure joy. Thanks Mark and your wonderful band
