Listening to Mark always reminds me that there are cliffs that man should not ascend and then the music assures me that they all can be. This man picks the guitar with both hands simultaneously and effortlessly. He transcends description. All I can say, is that I love the places he has taken me. I am not long for this world, but I take Mark along on my journey.

Well, If you compare this version just to the "Alchemy" one, the difference is evident... I don't think that for a first-time listener this Sultans of Swing can have the same effect for an early-listener. ;-) However great share ;)

Alfonso Mantero Well you're right but MK is not using is usual guitar to play it and that accounts for most of the difference, that plus different arrangements ... Still a pleasure to listen to

Thank you for posting this concert! I am a huge fan of the guitar sticks available for purchase but to see the concert is really fantastic. The audio is really good! The side shots of Mark are a little hard to watch in that the audience in the frame don't really seem to be into the music. I would've gladly traded places with you to be there at the RAH! Great job with the audio and video! Thanks for making this available and I agree with one of the posters that the 2013 Privateering tour should be made into a DVD or Blu Ray. The only problem would be trying to choose amongst all the great shows.

I have seen Mark Knopfler and his band three times. The man can play! He is very humble and gives a lot of credit to his band. My friend and I noticed we are the only two ladies sitting together listening to his guitar playing. There are usually men with men or man with their lady friends. If you really appreciate an amazing guitarist Mark Knopfler is brilliant and never disappoints. The next time he comes to Vancouver, BC, Canada, I will be there again for his amazing concerts. Vancouver loves Mark Knopfler.

@Dream-Academy8 жыл бұрын
+Pablo Bran that's because Mark is bored with it and he plays and sings it like he is tired and bored.... hence it's boring. Compared to the original recording and old live performances such as the Old Whistletest when he was young and vital ....this is rubbish!
@pablo123orange8 жыл бұрын
You mean the performance when he was 37 years younger and could jump around on stage? Sure he's old and slow now, his songs are more mellow stories and maybe he's totally bored of the old ones, but to come to the rescue of that yawning brat who had no idea who she was listening to just to make that point is disingenuous. The man is a guitar legend and she just has no clue.
