That magical year or so when PJ Harvey was a Palm Desert scene regular. So many cool features came out of that. I think the Desert Sessions volume she's on is the best one.

I found out that Mark died by reading the comments on this video. For the first time I went abroad from Russia, because I dreamed to get to his concert, but he never gave gigs in Russia. It was February 2012, Helsinki. Then I was on live show in Saint-Petersburg in 2017, I believe. Both times I talked to him after the shows. He was incredible. Rest in peace, Mark. You are a stone at the base of my universe.

What a deep and dark baritone he had. Butterfly is such an exciting, moody album. I also adore the work he did Queens of the Stone Age as well as Isobel Campbell.

Just bought this, my first solo mark lanegan album. They passed me by at the time. Saw the screaming trees back in the 90s in London, but after reading his autobiography, it's clear he didn't rate the early albums, as he never wrote the lyrics. His 1st anniversary next week. Legend.gone at 57. Rip.

The dark descends through the promised land Down kingdom come and the acid ban I'm Babylon, burned inside out Nothing to kill it I hit the city In Marianne I dug the hole And watched her trip on my heart of stone And in the end all that crawled, was my skin I couldn't kill it I hit the city I hit the city Ghost arrives at its bitter end To the promised land and the dark descents I'm Babylon, burned inside out Nothing to kill it I hit the city (x5) 1, 2,3, 4 I hit the city

As a cruel twist of my fate,I discovered the god lanegan the day he died cut to now I listened to everything and sooked it up I play the guitar and sing alone with him and never felt so whole. It seems like everyone that I tend to grab at ends up oded. And he passed in a more healthy or most acceptable way..to all that played with him I think he oozed talent that anyone with some talent just shined so much better. The ds 78 and his work with Bella there duets are so sexy and honest .well I really would have loved to hang out and pick that brain. But one my peddastal he will for ever be . I can say I love you for the way you made me feel. For 2 years now. I'm about to cry . Thanks for the most amazing music...and inspiring me to do it everyday play, sing ,write.
