Mark Lanegan's solo work alone can keep you occupied for years. He's done so many features, collaborations, covers, exclusives, and rare demo tracks over the course of decades that never got any real attention and it's easy to miss a lot of it. That's why I'm making a Dark Mark playlist that can all be found on youtube and most can be purchased if you know what to search. I'm listing here 27 key tracks that expose you to the pure genius and talent that is Mark Lanegan. 1) Close To Me (The Separate & Mark Lanegan) 2) Just A Candle (Wax Tailor & Mark Lanegan) 3) Ricochets (Torn Sail & Mark Lanegan) 4) Four Corners (Mondo Generator & Mark Lanegan) 5) Some Misunderstanding (Soulsavers & Mark Lanegan) 6) The Lonely Night (Moby & Mark Lanegan) 7) Another Night Out (Unkle & Mark Lanegan) 8 ) *Nobody Home (Studio Cover by Mark Lanegan)* 9) The Broken Man (Not Waving & Dark Mark) 10) Lost Animals (Dark Mark & Skeleton Joe) 11) Spirit Ditch (Rare Cover by Mark Lanegan) 12) Holy Ground (Live Cover by Mark Lanegan) 13) Julia Dream (Live Cover by Mark Lanegan) 14) Nutshell (Live Cover by Mark Lanegan) 15) Disorder (Live Cover by Mark Lanegan) 16) Assault On Magnus (Live With Magnus) 17) Thank You (Duke Garwood & Mark Lanegan) 18) We Have Met Before (Gutter Twins EP: Greg Dulli & Mark Lanegan) 19) Saturn Rising (Black Phoebe & Dark Mark) 20) I Know, I Alone (Dead Combo & Mark Lanegan) 21) Number Nine (The Twilight Singers & Mark Lanegan) 22) Sweet Life (Gutterbee Soundtrack) 23) Below The Cherry Moon (Studio Cover by Mark Lanegan) 24) Reaching For The Moon (Live Cover KEXP Full Set Free Download) 25) Desire By Blue River (Mark Lanegan & Bertrand Cantat) 26) Last Time Leaving Home Part 2 (Not Waving & Dark Mark) 27) We Die and See Beauty Reign (Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan)

Thanks for this. Was there ever an official cause of death for Mark? I heard suicide, long covid, all kinds of things. Listening to some of the songs he was doing in the last few years, it seemed he realized time was very short for him.

@@666marquis No one really knows. And it's clear Mark thought someone from his past was after him so it could be anything at this point.

Mark was a treasure, so many people are either unaware of his works or just know the handful of radio play songs. To me Mark is and should be known as one of the best to come from that era, his words/songs are amazing. Even when he covers other works its amazing. Cheers for posting and sharing songs from Dark Mark, he is sorely missed by so many. Cheers

Thanks for uploading this, any idea where this recording of Holy Ground comes from?

At most of Mark's shows he sold bootleg CDs of past performances. They could only be found there and likely will never be sold again.

Chris Newman - over 300 songs and 30 studio albums. Screaming Trees opened for Napalm Beach in the 80's. RIP to both.

I think many out there can sense that Mark was a special person. His darkness was not his own but the product of a dark world. He is with the light now.
