Tut mir leid, aber dem kann ich mich dieses Mal wirklich kein bisschen anschließen. Der Mix klingt deutlich schlechter als zum Beispiel das aktuelle Mark Lettieri Live-Album (und das war vom Mix schon weit hinter den Originalalben). Um nur ein paar Probleme zu nennen: Die Hi-Hat ist unangenehm, der Snare fehlt attack, die Leadtrompete klingt verwaschen, der Bass ist sehr untransparent...

Und ich höre solche Konzerte im Kontext, also ohne direkt die einzelnen Instrumente zu sezieren, über recht gute Monitore. Das mache ich nur, wenn ich sowas hier selbst mixe. Trotzdem.. Ich fand's g..l Gruß aus der Jazzfabrik Schaumburg

a fantastic concert. I know all the pieces from the CDs. Together with the excellent arrangements and the sound of the WDR Band and its great soloists, this is a real listening pleasure, especially as the picture and sound are also world class, as only professionals are at work at WDR. Mark Lettieri is a great, versatile, imaginative guitarist with feel and groove and his band is also absolutely first class. The interplay and interaction is fantastic. It's a shame that you can't see something like this live in Hamburg... I enjoyed every second of it and will definitely treat myself to it a second time.

I met Mark at NAMM in 2022 - I was shooting a live video for another company and he walked right on camera unbenounced to me. He's an extremely modest guy but I was still star struck. Some people get famous because of who they are, some people get famous because of how they are.

First Time to here this guitarist, great and tasteful player, hell of a bass player, this band is always great. Just think about it though! How really important a great arranger is. To build an arrangement around a guitarist own compositions where both the band and the guitarist blend together perfectly. Great arrangers are a must for any group large or small. Hats off to this cat in New York.

Super concert , un des guitaristes de Snarky Puppy et fondateur du groupe . Arrengement géniaux de Michael Abene et direction de Jorg Achim Keller ( que j'ai pu voir lors d'un super concert au Luxembourg avec les regrettés Joe Sample et Al Jarreau et le NDR Big Band) grand arrangeur également. Le son et prises de vues superbe . Un grand bravo aux ingés son et image de la WDR ( par pitié prononcez "wé-dé-aire" et pas " double-you-di-ar" a l'anglaise) c"est comme le handball, c'est allemand. Superbe.

Ein wirklich fantastisches Konzert. Ich hatte Mark Lettieri noch nicht gekannt. Sowohl seine Band als auch die WDR Bigband spielen fantastisch und obendrein wie aus einem Guss!
