*This channel is NOT Mark Lewisohn's personal KZbin channel.* *But since Mark Lewisohn is indeed the greatest world-renowned and world-recognised Beatles historian and expert - most notably since his 1988 best-seller "The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions" - we thought the man deserved one beautiful reference interviews channel ! So this channel is like a homage to Mark Lewisohn and a reference channel for his master subject The Beatles, almost like a public service kind of channel if you like !... This channel will be like a free and "un-monetized" central platform aimed at any english speaking Beatles student around the planet, and it will patiently collect and centralize all interviews and significant radio/podcast/video appearances Mark Lewisohn has made anywhere in the world, usually scattered around dozens of different sites and platforms on the internet, onto one single central channel for reference without monetizing its videos, for this is a purely educational reference channel for the connoisseurs, without any commercial nor business goal of any sort.* *Therefore this "Mark Lewisohn - A Beatles Historian" channel is indeed a good deed !* *SO PLEASE NOTE THREE IMPORTANT THINGS :* *A) None of these videos on this channel will ever be monetized so we're not robbing anybody here,* *B) A nice & gracious link to the original beloved source/podcast will of course always appear right underneath the video with the original source full name, and* *C) An UNCENSORED version of this Mark Lewisohn channel, ie. with all the missing interviews that were either blocked or taken down by KZbin,* *is and will always be available there* bit.ly/3IpYjWf *My other channels on the Beatles :* The Beatles Otherwise bit.ly/2Ph1gjh The Beatles Ideal Discography bit.ly/3qzlm9C The Beatles Ideal Filmography bit.ly/3pZPJY5 Uncensored Mark Lewisohn, A Beatles Historian bit.ly/3IpYjWf *Mark Lewisohn's "ALL THOSE YEARS" Beatles historical biography that Beatles fans already casually call "THE THREALOGY BOOKS" :* 📖 Tune In - Extended Version amzn.to/3374qdI 📖 Tune In - Regular Version amzn.to/2plUVcg

The Decca Tapes and Live At The Star-Club. These 2 historical tape recordings bookend the year of 1962. The more things changed, the more they stayed the same. But the times, they were a changin'. Excellent interview Mr Lewisohn. Informative as always. Thank you for your dedication. We are in your debt. Regards, RNB

This is just superb podcast/chat. Along with Tune In and Geoff Emerick's book (Here There and Everyhwhere) I love finding out interesting, new myth busting stuff from Mark. He should be given full access to everything Beatle-Apple and Paul n Ringo should work with him while they are alive please.

Thank you for this ! Every time Mark offers up a discussion there is always something grand presented, new insight, or fresh descriptions of history that we never knew.. This is so impressive to be able to connect the dots surrounding the Greatest Band in the world from an 'in the moment' perspective, and from a 'behind the scenes' narrative.. It's superb !! Lary

The opening part with them talking about Neil Innes dying still upsets me six months after his death. I am so glad I saw him with The Rutles in Norwich in the autumn before he left us and met him after.

This is amazing! The best way to experience the star club tapes is THE EXECUTIVE VERSION which came out a few years ago, there is a video that has stills and a transcript and makes it so much more fun

Star Club records recording quality is suspect BUT the energy is clear. Thank God there is a record of them in that venue.

I’ll miss Neil Innes, what a huge loss. Funny, but I can’t mentally separate Innes and the Rutles from the Beatles. It’s like they were a necessary antidote to all the serious punditry associated with the Beatles career. I loved the Bonzos too, and remember the Innes book of records? so sad.

i loved the rutles, but i associate neil innes more with the bonzos / who were brilliant , and live /its a shame that viv stanshall, hardly gets mentioned nowadays ys ys / by the way i saw neil innes with fatso at the nashville in 75 [the same time he was doing rutland weekend tv

Is there any news concerning the publishing date for volume 2 of the Beatles biography ?
@dralfredcarroll95674 жыл бұрын
Angel Llacuna At the moment it’s looking most likely to be 2021 or 2022
@mikewa22 жыл бұрын
Latest is 2023, however there is a rumour volume2 may be being delayed by Mark due to a certain very elderly person continuing to survive.

You should seek out the original podcasts from which these interviews are taken Unfortunately the hosts of this Channel (who are not not Mark Lewisohn) do not provide information about these sources, but try ... I Am The EggPod, Nothing Is Real, The Word Podcast, Something About The Beatles, Fabcast and others. Mark has appeared on them all so there is more to discover.
@michaelharrington753 жыл бұрын
George Martin is the 5th Beatle. He produced, played on, and wrote arrangements for all the recordings that made the Beatles legends. Mark is a historian, collecting information, but he's definitely the right guy to write their story.
@markwestervelt97083 жыл бұрын
@@michaelharrington75 no. Pete best is the only living person besides Paul and ringo who can say he was a beatle. Pete is the 5th beatle.

according to Mark, when Pete Best was in the Beatles, “the Beatles were always John, Paul, George, and a drummer”
@markwestervelt97082 ай бұрын
I agree 100%. He was there when according to John they were at their best. Generating all that energy that they did live. Look it up. Johns words. Pete rocked.

The DJ style presenter isn't the best - affirmations like 'WOW' 'AAH' 'YEAH' punctuating the interview add nothing. Just nod.

Apple has separated themselves from mark lewisohn. He is accused of dubbing or copying documents and masters and playing them for press and media.
@Beatgeneration20104 жыл бұрын
Apple have their own conceited reasons for going for Mark. For one thing, Mark is as honest as the day is long! I know who the Beatle buying public will be rooting for 👍😁
