This week I am using Stabilo Woodies again to make marks on top of my collage artwork-since they require not tooth they will go right over collage glue. I will show you how to blend them with the water brush to create soft shadows and soft edges, and I will show you how to use them dry to enhance color and bring out edges. This very versatile art supply is one of my favorites, I can't get enough of them!

Thanks Anna, it's an old one but a nice example of subtle shading with collage papers. I love the woodies and use them a lot but even so, they last forever! My list never gets smaller either, the beauty of mixed media I guess. Thanks about the hair color! I do it myself and was mixing things the other day and came out with this dark! but it will lighten up soon enough. :) Happy Friday Anna

Hi Brenda, the two are very different. The Derwent, which I love and have, require a tooth just like colored pencil or graphite pencil. The beauty of the woodies is that they do not require a tooth and they will write on glass! So what does this mean? we can mark make on TOP of the collage glue, which is acrylic and dries to a slick surface that the InkTense cannot grab onto. Hope that helps!
