I saw DEVO at Gaston hall at Georgetown University in DC 1979 and it was a fantastic show. The high gothic architecture of the hall that looked like someplace where the Spanish inquisition trials would be held and here is the band from the future preaching Devolution. A surreal experience to say the least.

Went to High School with Mark at Woodridge H.S. in Peninsula Ohio. He wore big glasses curly hair and carried a brief case. We kind of picked on him. Not mean way but funny to us. Now look who has the last laugh, but being much older now like him, I am very happy for him and privileged to say I knew him when. I guess I owe him an apology, so Hey Mark, sorry for having fun times on you and now you have great poetic justice on me. I still like to listen to and watch Whip It ! Ya know, Mark? I took piano lessons in the last foster home I was in, from '72 to '74. between the ages of 10 and 12. My foster mother was a musical teacher with 4 sons of her own, and each son played an instrument. They talked me into taking piano lessons, so I had to get up when the high school boys got up for school. I would do all my 6 times a piece lessons, while they ate breakfast. Then, I would have my chow and off to school I went. So, while you guys were working on making your mark (no pun intended), I was slaving away, having all kinds of what the hell have I gotten myself into thoughts. I say all that to say this: If I had known about you guys...I might have stuck it out, lol. Not only that, but I'm a fellow Ohioan born and bred, down here in Athens (OU, Baby!). Anyhoo, I know none of you guys that matter will ever see this comment, but it's all good. Mad props, brother. Tell Mr. Casale and Bob 1 mad props to them as well. Talk atcha, man. I got some reality to monitor...now where the hell's my potato? 😎

As I suspected, most of the Devo members were on the spectrum. Damaging his siblings Bee Gees albums was a way to induce perseveration, a frequent theme in their music, and a characteristic of autistic types.
