These were the lines that made me fall in love with his unique comedy style. Obnoxious comedians laugh WAY too hard at their own jokes; Mark looks like he just shit himself after delivering every line, like a fkn champ.

I've heard these jokes kill, never heard them bomb, or drop flat, and I think it is so cool of Mark to post this. These are solid jokes, but I guess (with literally zero stage time or adjacent experience) that it depends on the night and the crowd.

Mark has stated many times he cant handle silence, this mustve been killing him on the inside inbetween jokes

No, Mark's problem in those years were repeating same jokes over and over again. People heard it already. It took a decade for him to figure that out.

@@supernotnatural lol that's what a comedian does, builds up a set, does those same jokes over and over until it's completely ironed out for a special, a lot of these jokes ended up in his KZbin special, if you think standup comedians are doing different material every show, then you don't know the industry at all

@@supernotnaturalhe wasn’t largely known in 2018. Highly doubt anyone in the crowd knew them-post 2020, sure.
@supernotnatural8 ай бұрын
@@ClwkInstnct absolutely not. You can watch Louis CK. Ricky Gervais, telling the same joke basically but %100 completely different angle. Mark Normand does %100 same. Nothing different. Watch all tonight show appearances. ıt's same joke. Your logic is he is evolving his jokes. LOL. This is 2018. He does same jokes even in 2022 and it's %100 same. Not a word different. Where is the "evolution" part. There is none. The crowd that knew him wont applaud anyway since its not new material. Watch last upload of Shreveport Q/A. Mark is the man & he is a professional comedian thru & thru. You can tell it is an uncomfortable environment here. He feeds off the energy of the crowd. But he is still telling solid jokes. The crowd did seem like a dudd but I think he's just showing us how comics work out and showing aspiring comics how it's done. The jokes weren't as crisp as in the special and i think the structure of the set was still off, he started getting the crowd coming around and then goes "aren't your great full we aren't paedophiles?" Very cool to see.
