This is conceptually well tested given its use the Carolinas after the hurricane flooding. I guess this beta allows T-Mobile to test it at scale and for marketing purposes.

How Private are these messages and information being sent? Is this using cellular radios or does another radio need to be integrated?

I believe it will work same as apple.. As long as you send imessage text it will be encrypted.

It uses regular cell hardware to communicate. Starlink's lower orbit allows it to work with these frequencies. It ends up not being any different because they are using Starlink as a bridge between space and a regular cell tower.

Globalstar and Apple have been providing text services from space since 2021!!!! STARLINK is wayyyyyyyy behind. This is one area that Elon is NOT leading in. Despite all the marketing and ...well...lies...Starlink is struggling to get this to work. They are trying to catch up. Think about that next time you look over that spaceX valuation and realize it's 80% starlink. Apple and Globalstar will roll out something even more amazing in 2025 and put Starlink even further behind.
