I spent 3 years briefing F-16 pilots at Hill AFB in the 34th Fighter Squadron. A lot of pilots are cocky, but we need these types of dudes flying (and women - we didn't have any in our squadron, but sister squadrons did). I deployed with the 34th to Kuwait in 98 (Operation Desert Fox). I have mad respect for these guys. My incentive flight was at Luke AFB and my pilot grabbed a cheeseburger and coke before flight. I tried doing the same and I threw it all up on the negative G dive. We flew around for an hour and I was exhausted. This was just the start of the day for these guys. I was spent and needed a nap. Fun times though. We pulled 7.5G's and did BFM over Arizona.

They weren't around for the cold war (after) but I was told we were one keyturn (takes 2) away from ww3 because of bad intel. I never looked it up, but, I trust the person and the next day after they told me drunk, they said, "I probably shouldnt have told ya that." But once they told me I was their outlet, and heard it a few more times in that state. Apparently they were given the order, but 1 didnt turn the key. They said, "it didn't feel right." As they were getting their ass chewed, info came in it was actually a false alarm. I got into a discussion woth another recently...and I was like wait, is this guy right? You can look it up. Jesus spoke of the "figtree generation" which will be the generation to witness the coming of jesus christ the true messiah. When israel became a nation again 1948 it fulfilled the prophecy in old testament of jews returning home to the holy land of israel after exile. A generation in the bible is 70-80 yrs. We are in that timeframe. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my life was air strike missions in Afghanistan while actively engaged on the ground and most people don’t know but because of the very odd terrain in Afghanistan those bombers fly extremely low where you can almost feel the sonic boom and it is fucking something from a different dimension witnessing it in real life.

I went on vacation summer of 2020. Went to Pidgeon Forge, TN and decided to cruise over to Charleston, SC. Took a morning drive to see the area and stumbled on a military base that had a runway. Saw a few fighters on the tarmac that were making their way to the runway. So, being a tourist (with an incredible beard that sang freedom like bald eagles screaming above Mount Rushmore) I parked and waved like a crazy fan and screamed out how much I love America. They took off down the runway and then shot straight up. Blew my mind and I was so thankful that I just let the road of liberty, guide my travels. "From sea to shining sea".

22 is substantially more fuel efficient when not in afterburner than other fighters. Bit of an oddball. Meant for high altitude super cruise to give missiles more range. Interestingly, the 23 that it was competing with for the contract was superior in every respect except maneuverability that it was roughly the same as (using a different technique than engine nozzle vectoring), but that one lost because that big B-2 ufo-looking thing's program had so many cost overruns that the Pentagon was sort of pissed and didn't want to reward Northrop with the contract.
