I love these home interviews. The fact that Marks kid or wife or opens the door, realises he is filming and goes out about halfway through. It's Amazing to see creatures like Mark and Myles in their natural habitat. Artists will be more comfortable in their homes too.

I can't say it enough both these guys are fantastic musicians. It's very intimidating. I don't think some people realize how great a guitar player Myles is or how great a singer Mark is. I listened to Creed back in the 90s of course and it's cool to see how much better Mark is as a singer. Met Alter Bridge earlier this year and everyone was cool. Can't wait for the pandemic to be over so hopefully I can see them again soon. The thing I enjoy about this band other than their insane amount of talent is the passion they have for doing it.

What a great interview. Mark and Myles are who the are but the star of the interview was guy asking the questions.
@jetcity184 жыл бұрын
Mark is 100% correct, Queensryche with Michael Wilton and Chris DeGarmo were an incredible two guitar band. Those dudes were almost telepathic with their chemistry, and each complimented the other.
@Scott__C4 жыл бұрын
The original lineup of Queensryche was definitely bigger than the individuals. They're all great musicians, but after DeGarmo left it's been less interesting for me.

Got to give Nick Bowcott props. Excellent questions, and absolutely great interview.

Mark and Myles have so much mutual respect for eachother it is not difficult to see why they make so much great music together. Mark mentioned Climax Blues Band a really awesome band with a great mix of guitar and sax. Peter Haycock was an incredible guitarist and one of the best slide players ever.

This is one of the best interviews with musicians about the nature of their craft I've seen so far! And I love how all three of you namedropped Troy Grady, that guy has done so much for contemporary guitar tuition.

An absolutely fantastic interview. One of the best I’ve seen with Mark and Myles. Bravo - well done.

I love that Mark mentioned Queensryche. I’ve listened to them since 85. I would love to hear Mark and Myles to do dueling solo then come in together like Wilton and De Garmo on Walk in the Shadows, from Rage for Order.

Love Myles and Mark, Alter Bridge is one of my faves. When I first read the title, I thought Def Leppard. They had a great two guitar sound where both were great players and complimented each other - both played lead or rhythm or whatever fit the song. Maiden too, of course.

The differences between their playing is what makes them one of my favorite bands. When I tried out for my band now which is a alt rock band, and I come from a metal background, my tone was much warmer than the rhythm guitarists, my attack was different, my leads changed how songs sounded, and I was unsure about it but everyone agreed that the difference made it entirely unique

Myles at 27:40 talks pickups... he was there at the counter as i recall when we were discussing Seymour Duncan's with Mark Morse to order in to Music World for my '74 Les Paul Custom. We changed my bridge to a Screamin' Demon George Lynch pickup... and now since '93 everybody thinks a LP should naturally have that up-front pushed mid-range wall of tone I've got. Thanks Mark. Sweetwater can still get them i think.
@nim8312 жыл бұрын
"Will something Myles sings on one of your riffs *alter* your thinking on the *bridge* because of where his vocals imply it should go?" That Alter Bridge pun at the beginning has *altered* my brain chemistry I am *bridging* off to another world...

I think the band AB is amazing, because they are making powerful sounds with loads of feel .And Myles's vocal abilities, ranges is mind blowing. Mark is better on the guitar than singing ,but in certain song his input ,enhanced sounds is working together. Myles is the frontman though and it has to work around him .😊

Hello Sweetwater, wondering if you can help me. Is there a way to get a personal letter to Myles? I mean directly to him, not going thru management or 20 other people? I know "fan mail" would never get there. I'm dead serious, I've been trying to find a way but so far unsuccessful. Please let me know and maybe we could make contact via email or something.
