I have 0 desire to direct, or even make videos. But there is something about these videos that I find so calming and peaceful, I can't stop watching!

2:24 Lefty knuckle on that boom pole! Good practice is to have the knuckle on the right side of the stand so that when gravity pulls the weight down (or if the weight bounces from the stand being moved) the knuckle tightens with the weight When the knuckle is on the left it will loosen and the weight can come crashing down I've seen this happen many times on set

I had to stop watching this video because my name is Brackston. When you were talking about him and I was walking around my house, I kept thinking you were talking about me. This man is putting our name to good use. I hope that he spells his name the same as I do.

Great video! Hahaha I love how you occasionally cut to clips from movies to express a frustration. I still think about when you cut to DeNiro destroying the phone call as a way of saying ' I hate being distracted from my magic hour."

To add to that, these tips are so invaluble. I also have zero experience shooting extreme sports, and I'm been itching to try shooting that.

How do you go about finding a subject for a doc? Do you already have the idea and find a person? Do you meet the person and go hey this would make a great doc? etc.

Is it ok if I’m in a budget and use a green screen which I change to a different stylish background when shooting an interview? I’ve seen maybe FILM behind the scenes are shot with artificial background where there is a location from the film in the background of the person
@markbone Жыл бұрын
I personally avoid green screen at all costs
@RedRumble14 Жыл бұрын
@@markbone actually I use black screen which later change to a dark stylish background, is it better? I know green screen is bad with hair especially women’s, you are right here

Crew is crewcial, got it. Lol. About the sun, I've noticed that photographers do the opposite, most always shoot with the sun and not into it, and I have no idea why because it always looks so bad.

No offense but the interview doesn't look "cinematic" at all imho. It's just hard lighting, way too much haze, no texture (besides too much haze). The story doesn't seem very appealing to me. Just another Documentary about a topic no one really cares about. This maybe would have worked in the 90´s but our world is just a different place now. Why not go beyond what is comfortable and make something that expands peoples horizon. This is a story we see everyday on instagram or TikTok. Show me something new, show me something that changes my perspective.

You make a lot of comments on his channel seems like you’re a hater that doesn’t make anything.

@@rickyxblackwell I commented 2 times in the last 4 years… also if you don’t like the fact that people comment on videos, this is not the right platform for you dude. Also I’m doing this job for more than 8 years full time. If my stuff would look bad, I wouldn’t be working that frequent.
