Totally agree with you on this! However this car is a bit of a one trick pony for me, spends 99% of its life on the road doing mundane commuting/school run/dog duties. Does go fairly well on track though 😊

I’m pretty sure 120 temps are perfectly fine on track, it’s only when you’re at 130+ it becomes a concern for the golf r.

@@DryUrEyesMate exactly, 120 is right in the middle of the safe operating temperature for a synthetic oil. I suppose your man showed his hand though when he said he thinks his tyres start to give up grip after a few laps around the track 🤷🏽‍♂️

Just trying to look after the car, surely aiming at 120 gives me a safer operating window?! TBH it only hit 120 after about 15 mins of track time which is about long enough to be out in a road car, with road tyres that needs to be driven home….
