Finding this sermon today came at a perfect time. I am a single mom who is fighting this battle with my 17 year old daughter who has been struggling these past few months. I do feel alone, discouraged and honestly terrified of losing her. I don’t know how to do this by myself and I’m afraid to get her psychotherapy for her issues because I’m afraid they’ll affirm her feelings and make things worse. Please flood heaven with your prayers and ask God to guard and protect her heart, body and mind and give me the courage, strength and words to lead and guide her. She has now claimed that her God and my God are different. I need Him to show up in a BIG way and remind her of who He is! ❤

I'm almost 70 years old. I've been married for almost 50 years to my one and only. We've raised two daughters. They are both very strong women. I am a very strong woman. Nothing wrong with that at all. It takes strong women to defeat this demonic infestation of our culture. My advice to younger women with daughters is the same as would be with sons. Mothers and fathers must never falter to get heeled in and ready daily to stand firm right alongside our God against any assault on His Word. And always remind that our God is the Creator whose son, Jesus Christ, was sacrificed so that we could be one with Him soon. Never be silent when a hymn is reworded to omit the name of Jesus, Savior. Go back to the original writer's lyrics and resend the original words to those who might not be aware of what has been done to that good and wholesome hymn. Never let scripture be tossed for a gentler idea of what someone else calls their god. Speak truth at that and all other attempted substitutions for God's creation. This is our work and our reward. It is hard and takes tough love. But they come back around to the old faith and nestle themselves and their families back into the arms of safety from the evil that abides on this planet everywhere. Praise God, stronger is He that is in us than he that is in the world. May Jesus come for us soon and may He protect our children, please God.

@@chadsilva6942 speaking the truth is not acting like a pharisee. The Pharisees rejected Jesus. Driscoll preaches Jesus and speaks the truth and wisdom in our time.

@@chadsilva6942 You might be confusing "direct" and "being specific" as legalistic. Having doctrine isn't being legalistic or like a pharisee. The Pharisee's fault was adding more and more rules on top of God's law and called those rules moral and of-God. Like if the law of Moses said that one shouldn't touch the equivalent to roadkill the pharisee would say if you see roadkill ahead you must stop and take a different road to avoid being unclean otherwise you've sinned. What Driscoll is talking about here is just standard doctrine. Body modification wasn't okay in the OT and such cultural trends were punished by God. Driscoll saying that God is right isn't being a Pharisee. It's also possible that his personality just won't mesh with yours, but if that's the case it's important to recognize that THAT'S the issue. Francis Chan has never been one that I can get along with, but I've never had a problem with his teachings. He's always done his sincere best, and I admire that, but something about our personalities just won't mesh.

This sermon just showed up for me. I'm borderline in tears from this sermon because I was an Ahab. I cried out for God one night very recently because of mental issues reached an apex. He responded and recently compelled me to go to church and I was baptized that day and repented for turning from him. I had a young pastor awhile back, while churches were closed for the pandemic, I and our Landlord families did a Bible service at our Landlord's house! This new Pastor chewed me out when he heard about it and had 7 sermons in a row on Sunday, about abomination in the church, meaning us! We all went to a better church family! To be Woke means… I’ve been awaken to see the sin of others and the goodness in myself. Awaken to the spirit of destruction of all images and likenesses to God. I have been called to bring peace to the victims of those that serve God by tearing down all men that don’t believe as I believe. This is counter to Vengeance is the Lords. Same! I’m from VA and just found Pastor Mark today on YT! I’ve been looking for a LONG TIME for a pastor and a church after 30yrs of bouncing back and forth between agnosticism and atheism. I started on this journey of returning to faith in 2018. Today is the day that I feel like I’ve finally found a church and a pastor that feels like “home.” I’ve been binge watching his sermons today. ​@@smokyquartz5817 just wondering if you have a personal problem with driscoll? If you are a believer then there is a proper way of handling it. Confront him personally and if that can't be then be sure to take the log out of your own eye first. Unless you have special knowledge about him, is it not entirely possible that he has learned and repented from his past? If you believe in the same God then you would know He is a gracious God full of compassion for those who repent and turn to him. Unfortunately you sound like an angry individual and I hope you can move past thr hurt you have.
