Mark, I’m a long-time follower. I’ve seen JP before and never knew you had BF history, rather he was just a good friend. This interview with him gave me all the feels. In just a few minutes, his realness touched me deeply. I’m mid-40s, a confirmed introvert and wallflower. Relationships are a fragment of my life I gave up on 6 years ago. I’m never treated like I deserve, but I don’t know how to be a partner either. Most days, I’m fine with it. A few minutes with JP and I’m questioning my entire solitary existence. He makes me want more for myself. Thanks for being you, making beautiful videos, being a great dad to sweet Olive, and for stirring inside me emotion previously dead.

honestly though if you feel like someone isn't treating you right like you deserve constantly then maybe it's better to be alone. Less drama and more 'me' time.

I originally just wanted a short segment with JP for the vlog but as the tequila deepened itself inside of his homosexual veins the conversation really began to flow. it made me happy seeing him open up about our past with you guys and share what he’s learned about dating over the years. he’ll always be apart of my life, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of him. if you enjoyed this one be sure to leave a like as it really helps the channel

Keep being an influence. Keep in mind that every person that enters your life teaches you a lesson. It can be positive or negative depending on how you take those energies and use them to better improve you. Hoped to had met you on your AK trip years ago. In all honesty this is the type of content I value a lot from a blogger just plain sincerity. Too many great vibes and blessings. 💕 🏳️‍🌈

I’m lucky to have met my husband at 30 (he was 24). I’m 61 now and we are still together. There were ups and downs in the first few years. It takes awhile to really know someone, but I’m glad I was patient. Most people have no patience. Relationships take work. But the payoff is huge.

I really loved this video. It was a very honest moment of reflection for you. I’ve watched this channel since I was in a wee baby gay in high school and I’m now in my 20s and it’s nice seeing a reflective side of you who is open and honest about your feelings experiences. While I also love when you get excited about your present and future projects and adventures, it’s nice to see this side. Thank you for choosing to share your life with the internet and willingly being vulnerable in a public space!

(As Cheesy as this comment may sound…) The conversation you both had was really insightful to me, someone that is definitely reserved and closed-off towards other people. I’m too private of a person, and it’s taken me until this video to realise that. The journey to self-discovery is hard, but this vid has given me some new directions to consider. I’ll remember this video for a long while because it’s struck a personal chord with me. Thank you, JP & Mark.

There's one thing that JP said about knowing what he wants from a partner, or the kind of person he wants. It doesn't work like that, unless we're talking about extremes. No one is perfect, we all have vices and habits that are annoying to others. Me and my partner share things in commom like our love for nature and animals, still we're a completely different in personality and mood. But along the 28 years together, we have learnt to adapt to each other and the magic word I heard from my Italian grandmother "rinuncia", we've got to renounce, to cede here and there from both sides to make it work.

I have been following for years and this one is different. You talking about and talking with your ex hit differently than your other videos. I don't have an ex per se, but I do someone that is no longer in my life. A person that I was seeing died tragically and very sudden. Way too soon. It has been hard since then and life isn't what it once was. These times of the year make it worse. I just wanted to say that you are lucky and blessed to be able to talk to those ex's. Never lose sight. You actually moved just down the street from me so to speak last. I thought of reaching out and hanging, but Covid hit and now here we are. oh well. Super good episode! I recognize some of me in you. I am a public person, out-and-about a lot! Mr. Volunteer. But, I am very closed off. I don't let people in. Last month, a friend was visiting from S.F. to attend a event in Sacramento. We attended several events together. Recently, in S.F. his car had been broken into. Nothing noteworthy was stolen. But, that day, he had his lap top with him. He asked, "Can we swing by your place, so I can leave it there?" I said, "Yes". When we arrived at my apartment, I realized, this is the first person (stranger) in my apartment in at least 5 years!! My apartment is my private space. WOW!

After watching this video and reading the comments. I don’t understand how you guys think what JP said was so introspective. Wasn’t that just all common sense. Are people really this unaware? You have to self reflect look inside yourself and most importantly be honest with yourself. If you’re not a well rounded complete person who is happily independent and you don’t rely on others for happiness. How can you give or be anything to someone else. With that being said you probably have nothing to offer someone else either. So many ppl want others to complete them but they themselves are not capable of providing what they seek, to another person. How is that fair? One just takes takes takes. While another gives gives gives. Become the best version of yourself. If you don’t like you. No one of quality or substance will ever value you either. They will just move on to a better option to someone who is also more of a quality person.
