Ya know... This was Very helpful. Thank you. The Same thing happened to my wife's car and I bought the replacement part from a junk yard but when I opened the hood, I saw a problem. So, basically, you saved me a trip to the mechanic and paying him an extra $150.00 plus the $45.00 I Paid fir this. So, good job. Thanks

Just replaced the passenger side,I removed the wheel,pulled back the black hard plastic molding,use a#20 Torx bit. One screw was stripped(the top),so I cut it off with a sawzall. Put in new assembly and everything is cool. Take your time if you don,t have a lift. I used jack stands and Im beat!!!

Hello Nate...great video. I own a 2007 jeep compass so the body styles are the same. My question to you when removing the housing unit did you have to remove the 10 m/m screw (wheel well) on both side of the car or just one side? I am about to embark on the mission and I want to know before I rack my brains out on what I think I should do. Thanks again for the help.

grace angelina - i think I understand your question about 10 mil screws in the wheel we’ll - you should only need to remove on the side you are working on. That is the screw that keeps you from being able to access the back. So good news - just one side needed if you are replacing one marker light. Note, you will need to take all the screws out of the grill to give it enough play on the top (or at least that was my experience). Good luck and hope it goes well - glad the video was a help!

Sorry for the super-slow response, but if I understand your question correctly, the Jeep Compass Marker Light Bulb / Turn Signal light is activated by the blinker lever, so shouldn't have to do with anti fog lights at all. Thanks for watching!

To loosen the grill, are there any bolts or screws on the bottom, or only on the top?

If you want to take the grill all the way off, there are some small screws at the bottom that connect the air dam to the grill but if you are just looking to access the bulbs to do a replacement, you shouldn’t have to take the grill all the way off. Hope that makes sense and good luck! - DIYNate

This turned out to be a nightmare one of the screws was rusted and seized beyond belief and wouldnt come out no matter what, I ended cutting out the whole plastic of the light bit by bit with a heated kitchen knife and ply out that screw all together then got the new one in but fortunately it hides all the damage i caused inside.

Sorry to hear it was a tough one! Glad all ended well with the damage being hidden - nothing like having to fight rusted out screws! When you think it will be an easy project, never fails!

Well - for my Jeep I actually bumped into someone else and the plastic cover popped off which is why I needed to replace. So I probably need to claim the fault myself for that one - haha! Hope the repair worked out well for you! - DIYNate
