Hi Mark hope you are well,I've been carp fishing 30 years and have never used this knot😯 I've always used the over hand knot for my loops!!!! I will try and master this now as it sits alot! Better than the over hand does!!!! Thanks for the demonstration😄 we ever stop learning do we mate😁thanks Dan

Great vid mark. I remember trying to tie this knot when I first started. There were no good vids on it. This is the easiest figure 8 knot video to follow by far!

@@MarkCarp yea that’s what I use it for, attaching to qc swivels. On a fishing note, I had a new pb pike f 21lb 2oz on the same lure as I had my 1st 20 on. I’ve had a few nice carp too, including a 18lb 2oz immaculate common and a 21lb 9oz high shouldered mirror

What would you say are the best mini pit reels are ?

best mini pits mate?, you'll probably get a different answer from a lot of people but for me it's the shimano ultegra 5500, i use these reels myself and have done for the past 6 or 7 years or so. they are superb, one thing i would say, don't scrimp on them, there are a few different models, the normal cheap ones and the ci4 versions, you should go for the ci4, they are a lot lighter than the standard version and once you go ci4, you won't want to go back👍

@@cbing4036 they are a big buy, definitely one for the xmas list, when they first came out i think they were over £300 a reel, i ended up buying mine second hand/nearly new, i paid £360 for a set of 3, it's worth buying second hand, i get most of my big items that way👍

thanks michael, yes i've not been around much have i?, i'm still fishing, twice a week at the moment and in between times i'm trying to clear my house and get some work done on it. I'm very slow at getting jobs done and the list of them is long, trouble is it's summer and i just want to be on the bank👍🎣😁

@@michaelmcquiggan1252 i'm getting fishing on a limited basis michael, mostly just local stuff, that's why i'm able to go twice a week, less travelling and close enough to visit after work👍 i'm still looking for somewhere to get my teeth into at the moment.
