I agree with Mike's thought process. However, we are forgetting that it is usually ETH that is the father of ALT's. Bitcoin shows the direction of the market, but ETH drives the ALT's. So when we see ETH crossing 3k - ALTs will fly purely of the fact of the cycle.

Respect to mike, I enjoy hearing his takes, but I'm wondering when his bear thesis is invalidated? Every trade / thesis should have invalidation and he claimed btc was leading beta to the downside, but isn't it now leading beta to the upside as it breaks ATHs with stocks? You can't be bearish for a full year while stocks have done incredibly well and say you called it when the bear market finally comes. No disrespect, I get trades wrong all the time too, just curious what invalidates his thesis

We seem to have deglobalization occurring which would lead to less international trade. Layoffs for corporation and governments in democratic and republics would make sense, we may have less borrowing and lending, less investment in risk assets. It would seem that the world reverts to the mean and the people being layed off will be happy to pick fruit for $10/hr. The last 50 years have been the anomaly. Geopolitics will have a significant impact; many industries have unnecessarily been subsidized by taxpayers, like universities where people have been indoctrinated rather than educated and used as a political recruiting facility. Our future environment cold be considered closer to pre-World War 2 era. Many people would be familiar with the phrase history doesn't repeat but it rhymes. I would enjoy for you to have a discussion along these lines.
