So in this video the price of ford is 12.49. If youre doing a limit order and you set the limit at exactly 12.49, does it insta buy? Or is it also queued?

Fractional shares can only be bought with market orders. You cannot buy fractional shares when using limit orders.

In my opinion, no longer than two weeks. Because that’s two weeks that your money is sitting on the side lines not earning/compounding.

How do I use limit orders for fractional shares, namely for the s&p500. The only time I've ever done a limit buy is when it sets itself automatically for after-market hrs.

Unfortunately, you can’t use limit orders for fractional shares. Just whole shares.
