I’ve seen those dragons I. The eggs and think they are super cool! WOW, a 3D printer. I e seen some incredible things made with them. Personally, I’d never buy one because I probably wouldn’t figure out how to use it! Those dragons on the eggs are genius! My son in law has a 3 D printer, I may ask him about that investment and if it would be worth it. The snakes are great, I agree, the striped ones are better. I’ll never make any though, I feel the same way about snakes as I do about spiders. Even though the crochet ones are cute, the thought off making them still creeps me out 😂

I can't believe you can do a dragon in just over an hour. I clearly need to start working with the thicker yarns (and smaller patterns). I'm pretty fast, but most of mine take 3 hours including assembly using worsted yarn (and go up to 60 stitches per round).

I just bought myself a 3d printer about a month ago. I love mine. Bambu started their Black Friday sale yesterday. For a beginner I think the A1 printer and ams lite would be perfect for what you are wanting. I’ve been making a few eggs this weekend. Fair warning there are so many pretty filaments!
@cottontailcrafts17195 күн бұрын
@@HookedOnCrafts Yes I'm afraid I may go overboard lol. How long do the eggs take to do? And how many eggs do you think you would get out of one roll?
@HookedOnCrafts5 күн бұрын
@@cottontailcrafts1719 The one I’ve been printing takes a little over 4 hours to print. It uses 89g for each egg. The rolls I like to buy have 1kg of filament per roll. So approximately 11 eggs. However, I would want a variety of colors.

Hi Heather, I just made Diddy Dex and shared him in my recent video. I hear you re the 4sc! I found it very fiddly, so even though he is super cute I said I was ‘one and done’ 😂 I had considered crocheting the legs in as well.. I love the eggs and I love that you’re going to buy your own printer. How disappointing that you went to all the trouble of searching out someone to do the eggs and all that person could send you was her left over colours. It’s a lost opportunity for a business if you can’t see the vision your customer sends you. I look forward to seeing how you go with the printer as it has also been a back of my mind craft although I just don’t have the space right now. The end product looks amazing and will be such a hit with everyone, plus you could consider being the supplier of empty eggs for other crocheters (as well as resin eyes)

Loving the dragons and glad to know I wasn’t the only who struggled with them 😂. I would love to get my hands on some of the eggs. I only had one to take to market yesterday and it sold I priced mine at $18 (I’m in the TN) so you should probably get the $40 with the eggs with no problem 😉. I have a Bamboo Carbon X1C 3D printer and absolutely love it. It was plug and play so I started printing right out of the box. I had no clue about 3D printing before and it’s been so easy to use. They now have the Bamboo A1 which I would have purchased if it had been out at the time because of the price and that I really only print using PLA filaments. I also hear it is much easier to maintenance and fix problems with. Oh and if you go Bamboo, get the AMS to do multi color. You will think you don’t need it, but you will want it after you start playing. If you have questions or need help feel free to reach out to me. I too jumped on the dragon train but Dex has too much sewing for me so I’m doing the free KZbin tutorial one by Stitches Be Crazie.
