After two decades in two different agencies I have opened a private practice. Your video is very helpful. I know I have to learn more about social media platforms (Baby Boomer) and how to become more visible.

Congrats on opening your practice! Social media has felt daunting for me too - it's not just a generational thing! You might find it most helpful to start with platforms that feel more familiar to you. Therapists don't necessarily have to use social media, but it's also something you can learn as you go if you want to!

Hi Dr. Fang. Love your videos! As a prelicensed therapist, is it ok/too soon to market myself as an expert? Thanks!

What is your point of view when it comes to having a home office as a therapist?
@PrivatePracticeSkills5 жыл бұрын
Such an interesting question! I know there is a wide range of opinions on this topic. Personally, I don't feel comfortable with clients meeting in my home, but I think it could work for some therapists. It definitely requires reflection on what types of clients you serve, how it would impact you, your clients, and your household.

I'm curious if it's the same response if the practice is telehealth visits only?

It is so cringeworthy seeing some therapy websites that have a mile long list of “expertise” not to mention off-putting. I think it will take time for people to catch on to different ways of positioning themselves and their practice to succeed. Great video as always and thank you 🙏🏼 Sorry about the heartburn (I did laugh) but hope you’re enjoying cuddles with baby 🚼🧸🍼🎖

It's so true! I think that strategy might have worked in the past, but I think our culture has learned to be mistrusting of those kinds of claims (even if they're accurate!)
