Man, I can’t thank you enough for these videos. I’ve been a landscape/street photographer for a few years now and I’m constantly getting asked to do portraits or weddings. The problem is I have no idea where to start and I’m still having a hard time asking people to look at me and hand me money. These videos are helping with the plan.

I understand....I had those same thoughts/fears a couple of years ago. It gets easier with time. I think an overlooked part of photography/business is developing a better mindset around certain things. Maybe I'll make a specific video about this, but anyways I appreciate your comment😊

@@AdrianLardPhoto You’re definitely right about that. It’s like even when everyone around me is constantly affirming my work I still can’t accept that it’s good enough. I know that has a lot to do with imposter syndrome but it’s also difficult to know when it’s just people being nice or when it’s actually good work. I think as photographers we go through several layers of this in everything we do from editing to gear, and even down to the point where we’re pixel peaking at that one out of focus area in the corner of one pixel. It gets a bit ridiculous and I think is a huge stumbling block for a lot of people (including myself) when in reality the market will be a pretty solid indicator of your skill level. I don’t think you’ll be getting paid long if you really suck as bad as you think. This would definitely be a great video subject I think. Thanks again man.

I loved your video! I'm currently trying to market myself to local small barbershops. I've got a lot of rejections, but I've also gotten some interested people! I did a spontaneous shoot about a week ago and I thought it was wicked cool -- so here I am. Not many were interested, but I still gave them my card -- hoping that networking will pay off someday. Thank you!!

Thank you so much for this video and the guide!!!!!! I am not doing any marketing yet, because up until a few of months ago, I didn't want to have a business. I just wanted to shoot whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. But I had a lot of people asking me to take their photos, so now I am thinking about it. :)

Hey man! when should I talk about the pricing of my photography when dm-ing a rapper? In the first text?
@AdrianLardPhoto4 жыл бұрын
I usually send a pricing guide with all the info they need when a client reaches out. It covers how to prepare for the session, what to expect, FAQS, a little about us, reviews, and then my pricing and packages. We do a lot of phone calls also instead of emails. We convert better when we talk on phone with clients.
