You guys are the dream team of photography. You're right connecting to potential clients get you clients. Show them you're a people person. I love to meet potential clients in person so that they can feel my vibe, see that I'm down to earth and realize that I'm just like them. I knew that people were watching me when I worked at events but didn't really understand it until 2013 when I was photographing my coworker's wedding in upstate, NY. During the reception, I was looking out one of the reception hall windows admiring the view of both the Hudson River and the state of New Jersey on the other side. As I'm taking in the view, the bride's father walks over to me, opens my hand to place money into it. I'm thinking that he gave me a $100 tip for the wedding. When the father left, I opened my hand to see that he had just given me four $50 bills for the total of $200. Later during the following week when my worker came back to work who was the bride, I asked her why did her father give me a $200 tip. She said that he gave me a $200 tip because while shooting the entire wedding day, he had never seen me sit down or take a break. That moment right there told me that people at events are REALLY watching what a photographer does. A-Train and Kimbo like you both said which was the photos are secondary but it's how you present yourself as a photographer such as how you conduct both yourself and the business aspects of photography. Sorry to have written so much, LOL!

You're good man...I enjoyed reading this comment. Thanks for sharing that story. It just goes to show that people are always paying attention and we need to stay on our A game. It also shows that people still value what we do and appreciate our hard work. We got our first tip this year and it was a great feeling.

Hey Adrian, I saw this video last week. Great job man. Since last week I used Kimbo strategies for sales, and booked 3 family portraits and 2 weddings. It really helped going above and beyond my photography services like connecting my clients with a great florist. Thanks a bunch. This is a video where I have to watch it 2 to 3 more times because I know there are a lot more gems I can utilize for my business.

Awesome tips! I come from a sales background and I definitely agree to everything that you guys said. I personally like to write down what a client needs and then later throughout the same day send an email confirmation with a Thank you!

Hey Anto. Man I've learned so much about sales in the last couple of years. I think it's an overlooked skill by most photographers. Continously learning about sales has helped our business a lot. Thanks for watching and commenting🙏

Awesome video, as usual. Thank you for all the info! Yup, I had the maid of honor at the one and only wedding I shot trying to book me, and my answer has been "Hell, NO!" You guys are amazing for doing it, but I was shocked! LOL I only did it as a favor to the bride's mom, and I spend the whole time cussing at myself for being there! Never again!!!!! LOL

PS. You know about looking for answers in the wrong place? In Italy there is this comic guy that used to say: "You are looking for the answer, but the answer is not over there, the answer is inside you...but it's wrong!" ahahahah

Do you recommend putting prices on the website or you rather stay discreet on them so that they can call you instead? Thanks for the video loved every thing!
@AdrianLardPhoto4 жыл бұрын
I would just put them on there. I think you could lose a lot of potential clients if you don't. Experiment with both and see which one is working better.
