It’s selling well why.???? Because prices are affordable!!!! Nobody wants to spend 140$ a booster box for metazoo!!! Especially when most products fall in price after its release. I almost paid 210$ for two booster boxes by a metazoo partner, I’m glad I didn’t because I got the TCG exclusive collectors bundle for $150. Metazoo got greedy. Metazoo wants yes men as content creators. They don’t want content creators with their own opinions and concerns. Unfortunately…… they don’t like hearing the truth.

Yeah a lot of people are blaming TCGPlayer but it's Metazoo's fault. Don't give them so much product if you don't want them to sell it.

I bought three boxes, two from you, for about $120 each. Feels bad. Plus, the set is only just over 100 cards, so opening the same cards over and over gets old fast. Chase cards don't do it for me. Now I'm sitting on two $75 boxes since I'm not interested in opening them. 😕 Should've put the money into Sorcery beta or Pokemon 151. Again, feels really bad. The sour taste will stay with me and push my money to other TCGs after backing Metazoo through thick and thin since 2021.

I mean sorcery is riding high now but if you honestly think its sustainable…hate to break it to you. Pokemon isnt even a comparison, idk why people even say that. The inly thing they have in common is they are tcg’s and there’s characters on the cards…stop trying to make millions and have fun, its possible.

I know that feeling well as I'm sitting on a Nightfall booster box I purchased at MSRP on release back in November 2021 - price of that box has dropped at least 60% now. That being said, I don't think it should deter you from keep buying the Metazoo products you want though. We just have to be smarter on which products we buy for our collections and personal enjoyment rather than over leveraging on products we feel may become investments in the future. I hope you feel better soon! It's not a great feeling nonetheless

This feels like the worst consumer economy in the last 20 years. At a time like this , as a company, I would not be over saturating my market with products. Anything I decide to spend my money on needs to maintain some sort of value close to it's sales price. If this economy persists, it would be wise for Metazoo for 2024 to make only 2-3 base sets with a print run of 25k and at most 4 non core sets for holidays or collabs. From Pokemon and magic to Metazoo there are far to many products continually coming to market.

Its been a minute since ive watched the Zoo market or even bought anything. I was there from the beginning basically buying promotional stuff directly from their website mainly. Most of these products are so rare and hard to find that i refuse to sell them for currently. Its been a wild ride and i can imagine things bounce back with a vengeance if the company turns the ship and overall sentiment shifts. Thx for your hard work and keeping us up to date argos!

I've always thought that Metazoo was selling DTC their product through TCGPlayer - I didn't think they sold to TCGPlayer first then TCGPlayer resells the product as a distributor/partner. From Metazoo's point of view then I can see financially this not affecting them much since the pricing chaos occurs on the secondary market. Like you said though, no one saw the KCC Collector Box dump coming though. As someone in the legal field, I feel some restrictive covenants and/or enforcement clauses in their contracts would help with keep affiliates from crossing the line with their actions.

i personally agree, it’s got a few quirky decks but nothing with a control aspect like cosmic, worms, og water, quetz defense. kuromi on its own is too easy to deal with. ravenmocker would wreck it with crow mother out. chibi growth decks not consistent…yet

Imagine partnering with a company to sell an exclusive product at $300 and it doesn’t sell. As a business they have to make their money back. So they sold them half price. Now people are actually buying the product. Metazoo did great in the beginning for one reason!!!!! Prices were affordable!!!

One of the areas I believe metazoo is entirely lacking is advertising. They should have been spending some of that revenue on ad space. They try to get the fans to peddle the product for them over social media and it doesn’t get them enough exposure. Also booster boxes should be priced msrp in the 85-95 price range with limited 50,000 total supply.

The $140 booster price is what's causing the all of this. Waaaaaaaay overpriced for where MetaZoo is right now. If the price started at $100 per booster and dropped to $75, it wouldn't look that bad. I bought 4 boxes of One Piece for $90 each and 1 box of Sorcery for $95 when they first came out. Perfect pricing, and guess what....they are both rising up and up now. At $140 I would have never snagged either of them. One last thing; another factor for me not buying anymore KCC is the fact that I don't want to take a chance on dropping the money on a box and not getting a good card. I see people opening 3-4 boosters of KCC and not getting a San Rio 6. People want to see some kind of a valued return. Tiered value of chase cards are the key. Maybe I wouldn't get a San Rio 6 but 2 $15 cards would still be fun and fair for opening an expensive box.

I totally agree with you. MetaZoo needs to put a larger pool of hit cards in these core sets. With only six cards, you either increase the hit rate and crush the value of the cards, or keep them hard to pull, but then nobody pulls them. Native is great because with a 19 card pool they were able to increase the rate of hit cards without crushing the value of any particular card.

Product quality has improved substantially...the artwork, The colors cardstock, holoing, packaging altogether very eyesppealing...
