Hey Jonti, so glad you're back! In case you're interested, Megaquarium came out with two more DLC during your hiatus -- including the Architect's Collection, which expands on the creative design options available in the game. I'm a bit on the fence whether I like your gameplay or not but I admit that I'm biased as I just recently crossed the 900 hour mark playing Farthest Frontier. It seems quite hard to play without proper tutorials and at least you're more observant and figure out things fairly quickly compared to almost every other players I've watched. However you do miss some helpful and important information because you just don't notice them even when they're right in front of you. That's something I can't help you with but let me give you some helpful tips. 4 villagers can quickly kill a wolf if they're attacking together but if a hunter is closer it's definitely the better choice. If a wolf was killed without the involvement of a hunter grab a hunter and right click on the carcass so he goes and picks it up for meat and pelts. I hardly use foragers for gathering food or fisherman as long as there are a few deer or boar spawns close by, even wolf dens are the better choice, in my opinion as all of them give a good amount of meat (boars actually give 200 meat) and pelts all through the year and not only during the warmer time of the year. Deer and boars also give tallow which you'll need later in the game to produce soap and you'll need more tallow than you can gather from hunting or even get with an additional barn full of cows. I start to set up my first farm usually in the second year. If placed close enough to the houses you only need two famers to work a 12x6 size field and after all weeds and rockiness have been removed, it yields 1000+ food units every year when the fertility is around 65%. Best crops for the entire game are peas, clover, turnips or turnips, clover, peas in one year and every year. This will increase the fertility by 2% each year, gets rid of up to 9% weed, keeps the infection with crop diseases low and gets rid of it without the need to change crops and has the least spoilage because of heat, frost and droughts. Another good way to increase fertility is clover and beans but the yield is lower and if it contracts a disease you'll have to change the crops in the following year. Your way to deal with a raider attack is not recommendable. Although hunters are a very good military unit there's actually no need to get them involved in the early game and you should definitely not use villagers to attack the raiders. I'm sure you've realised by now that you didn't activate the alarm bell in the town centre. Without that no one was shooting at the raiders and the town centre alone is strong enough to fight of the first few raider attacks in trailblazer difficulty and there also won't be the risk of loosing one of your hunters. One hunter alone is always at a high(er) risk of being killed by raiders. Even after you've built barracks and filled them up with archers, the town centre will still be a very strong defence as long as you have a surplus of bows and/or crossbows and if you don't run out of arrows. In order to prevent villagers dying from diseases in the early game, all you need are herbs, which are also one of the things you'll need to get the shelters upgraded to houses. You've got only a few of them at the lake but it'll help a bit. If you use one of the foragers to collect the herbs and willow and uncover the deer spawn and wolf den covered up by the fog of war to up your meat production and find the blueberry bushes you've already looked at in the last episode, you can move them over to the forager for extra food and to help prevent scurvy which can also kill your villagers. If you do all of that you should be able to use the other forager as a farmer and together with a second farmer on a 12x6 size filed you'll have a more stable food influx. You can terraform all terrain as long as there's no fence on it. There's a bug that won't allow terraforming when a fence is build on a tile but it'll work with any other building on it. There's so much more I could tell you but I don't want to come across as overbearing or worse. I just wanted to help because it's an awesome game that became even more difficult to play after the 0.9.2 update. Hope this was helpful (although it got longer than I intended). Good luck!
