I cannot commend Mark Felton enough for creating these fascinating, very well-produced documentaries. I admire his sober approach and his avoidance of sensationalism when exposing some pretty horrifying history. We will never know all there is to know about Europe during the 1930s and 1940s, but Felton is doing a superb job of bringing facts to light.

I went to school in the mid 50's with a lad who clicked his heals and saluted Adolph Hitler frequently, especially at recess. He claimed to be related to Hitler and that his parents had moved to the US after WW2. He would the right age for all of it to be true. He spoke fluent German and was rather dilegent in his zeal for Hitler for someone his age. We were 8 or 10 years old at the time. Considering the anti-nazi sentiment at the time this fellow was a definite departure from the norm.

Diphtheria has had a vaccine since the 1920’s. About 95% of people vaccinated develop immunity, and vaccination against diphtheria has resulted in a more than 90% decrease in number of cases globally between 1980 and 2000. But anti-vaxxers want to undo all that and go back to child deaths from this nearly eradicated disease. SMDH.

Stalin was a psychopath, he didn't give a rats ass about anyone in his family. That's the only reason he didn't care to get his son back. He saw it as an opportunity to make himself look like an even better leader. "That he cared so much about everyone that his family wasn't any better" It's old news Stalin hated to be around his family and rather locked himself in in a room during his "free time" to drink and smoke cigars probably planning his evil future of camps, sentences and death.

@M Bacon Fun fact: A lot of former gestapo officers carried on in as intelligence officers after the war especialy in german version of nkvd/kgb. I highly recommend a film Burned by the sun. I do not get how anyone could give them any leniency. Sincere communists means willing to do any monstrosity in order to get rid of those who prevent them from achieving red utopia. It wasn't actually that uncommon back then. Most people didn't have vaccinations and died of illness that are cureable today. My grandmother for example was the only kid out of 3 siblings that made it into adulthood. Sad times.
