A few years ago, my wife had a wrinkled retina, requiring surgery much the same as yours. The doctor told her to expect cataract surgery the following year, she was right on the money! All the procedures went great and she still has near perfect eye sight at 75 yrs.

You will be so thankful when you finally get your catarac surgery. I've had both of mine done within the last 10 years and it was a piece of cake both times. I'm a 73 year old veteran that is so thankful for the VA. Came over here and found your channel when our good friend down south died.

You won't believe the difference when you have the cataract surgery, if you can call it surgery, takes about 2 minutes per eye, 2 weeks apart. Had mine done in April and May, what a difference. You will see brighter clearer colors.

Cataract surgery is nothing to worry about. It takes longer for your eye to dilate, than the surgery itself. I had 18 shots directly into my right eyeball, then cataract surgery in both eyes, then posterior capsulotomies in both eyes, then had a build-up scraped off of the right retina, easy peasy! So don't worry about the cataract surgeries. You'll be fine. Thanks for the videos. Jon

I can relate, I got a cataract on my left eye this summer and have had to sell adjust to the depth perception loss, plus being able to see just a bit of Movement out of the edges of the basically blind eye is more disorienting than helpful. I end up closing it to concentrate on the functional eye. It's gotta be difficult to see distances on the mill. Have a great day.

As you have described your eye troubles,, I am not sure this will help. But ya never know,, so.. What I use for visual acuity, it makes a very noticeable difference, is Tart Cherry Juice. Not cherry or black cherry,, find tart cherry juice. I make a morning coffee in a large mug (16 to 20 oz?) about 3/4 black coffee,, and 1/4 tart cherry juice with about 2 teaspoons of sugar. In the evening it is normal at bed time to fill the mug with 3/4 water,, heat to boiling in the microwave, a couple of teaspoons sugar, and about 1/4 tart cherry juice. In 10 days to 2 weeks you will notice added acuity,, sharper focus,, more vibrant colours,, and the effect lasts for a week or 2 weeks if you stop taking the tart cherry juice. In general,, there is something in the juice that likes nerve endings. All the effects range to noticeable level. Nothing profound,, likely won't cure cancer or restore your receding hair line. But,,, dang, does it taste good !! I am 71 now,, and where all of my Boy Scout Leader friends have gone to bifocals, hearing aids, etc. I seem to have skipped that. I am slightly near sighted, I can drive safely on a bright day, have often forgotten my glasses when leaving the restaurant,, been wearing glasses all my life. But, I have skipped the bifocals and hearing aids stuff,,, Blueberries and tart Cherry juice. And aspirin and lucky genetics,, I assume. Try the tart cherry juice. If it does nothing,, it still tastes really good.

There is something to be said for a debarker in my opinion. But you have your opinion on that subject but time spent coming outside to get bark from under and other places is a painful to watch. Just remove loose bark by hand before you put it on the rack. It’s not my sawmill do whatever you want.

I would think that the cost of purchase, time of installation and then learning to use it would be the bigger issues concerning a debarker

If you think they should have a debarked so bad, why don’t you buy him one?

You’re not watching a John wick film here. Part of the charm is the slow pace. Plus you could always skip forward, it’s not live.

When you replace your bus motor you should get a good CATERPILLAR or CUMMINS motor! Get away from the two cycle Detroit diesel. 😂

Hemlock bark seems to fall off easily. If the dogs dig into this loose bark, surely they can’t be holding the log securely. You seem very loathe to use the master dog? Why? Great videos. Thanks

these logs sat for a few months to make the bark fall off , the master dog hold better than the dogs do.

Re: the Laser- I used to see it, maybe 3 or 4 months ago. what changed? Different filter on your camera? different setting IN the camera? Different color enhancement settings in your editor? (Clue: Check "White Balance") I have filmed a lot of red hot metals and I can tell you for sure that the camera generally sees things differently than the naked eye.

How come you don't roll all of your logs onto the deck after the first side is cut? You will never have movement of your log when it's laying flat it seems??????

Unless you have extenuating circumstances, the cataract surgery will be minor. I've had both of my eyes done. I heard the word taper and my ears perked up. Bill
